    What did you buy today?

A week ago i received the wonderful Vikings 7020 (artillery wagon), been having a lot of fun with that, i'd never seen those trigger pieces before. But a few weeks ago i managed to score a Knight's tournament 383 in great condition for $60 AUD! It's on my mantlepiece atm - i know i should take it down soon to protect it from light and dust etc, but just love looking at it so much. Those classic sets really are the best.

    Your First LEGO Set

I don't remember what my very first set was, but the first one i got really attached to was 600, the little town police car. I got it as a reward for having my first tooth pulled out - which became something of a habit as i had major tooth overcrowding and the only way my folks could get me into the dentist's chair without a fuss was to bribe me with the promise of a new set!

    Storage and Sorting LEGO

Yeah, i started out using old takeaway containers, but the creaky lids got to me after a while, not to mention the time i accidentally knocked a pile of containers over and some of the lids popped off... So i graduated to small 17 compartment tackle/screw boxes - i now have 7 of them, plus a couple of 3 tier drawers that have 8 compartments each. The tackle boxes are great for the small and fiddly peices (i sort by size and type, mainly) and the tier drawers for larger plates, bricks and panels etc. I have a seperate box for minifigs too. Mind you, i only have about 3000 pieces atm, and i can already see the limitations of my current storage setup. I'll be heading off to Bunnings (Aust hardware store) soon if i keep up aquiring lego at the rate i am now...

    Those damned dark ages

I was a massive lego fan as a child, really into the classic space theme, but as i entered adolecence the lego got put away, and eventually my sister took it for her kids. :( Fast forward to a few months ago, I bought my partner some small lego fire sets as she collects toy fire trucks - i figured she at least needed some firemen to drive them! We had a fun time putting them together and the next day i was back at Kmart for a SW rebel trooper battle pack. Now i'm onto Bricklink and finding all the old Viking sets - just briliant. I wish Lego was still making that theme.
