snefroe Posted July 24, 2006 i very often use the 'view new posts' option on our board to see if there are new posts... very often i find that after having used it a second time, i get: 'Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.' i don't think it's supposed to appear , but it's kinda annoying... any of you have to same experience? gylman Posted July 24, 2006 I think that if you press it too soon after the last time, the software sees it as a "flood" request (meaning too much information is requested by one user too soon) and blocks it. Many forums have this setting at 30 secs, etc. I get this when I double click the new posts by mistake. Or when I forgot I clicked, and clicked it again right away. Deinonychus Posted July 24, 2006 That's an Invision Board's way of saying : "There's nothing new since the last time you clicked the VIEW NEW POSTS button...quit bugging me!" Usually if I hit that too many times by mistake before I was done reading through the new posts I just go to the bottom of the forum and click the link for TODAYs ACTIVE TOPICS...that list works pretty good as well *y*
