MOC: EXT Walker

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

Here's my attempt at a mecha moc.

Eliminator-class EXT Walker

LCSA's largest walker today, it was introduced recentely in civil wars and Blacktron attacks, these walker are equipped with large laser turrets prepared to destroy everything related and allied to Blacktron or any menace to the LCSA, Galactic Federation or the civilians, these walkers are just another development of the LCSA, nothing special.

Pieces - 743 pieces.

Still needs a better name, sugestions are welcome.

I'd say your biggest concerns will be how the joints hold up, specifically in the hips, I'm not sure what you did, but from what I could see I'm not sure it very sturdy at all.

Any chance seeing what you did for the hips?

Mike

I used some Technic bricks (which I don't know the name or number), I will later add it to the LDD MOC Index, but the hips are fragile

But there is a photo in Brickshelf that shows how the hips were made, there is the URL:

Brickshelf photo.

Thanks, Giovanne.

Well Like I said, from what I could see, it didn't look sturdy, but without knowing exactly how it went together, but if as you said its basically just pins, that might hold the weight, but the torso wouldn't stay up right, its roll either forwards or backwards right away.

Try reworking it using these parts;

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=48171

http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=47455

They work out to be good strong joints with rigid rotation(just like the click hinges)

Thanks for your tips, OrangeKNight!

Impressive mech design Giovanne, especially the heavy weaponry and the small but effective detailing (greebles, color scheme). Great job and looking forward adding this to the LDD MOC Index.

Thanks for the comment, KielDaMan!

This MOC will be on the index, most of the large MOCs I made will go to the Index.

Wow, very cool! I like how you made the top part so large while still maintaining balance in the mecha.

Thanks for your comment, Baylego!

I don't know if the walker is balanced, like I said before, the hips will be remade for rigid rotation with the tip of OrangeKNight. :classic:
