Leo-J Posted September 2, 2010 The SNIR 27 technique was applied to the walls. More pictures available in Brickshelf. "The SNIR 27 technique has been developed by Reinhard "Ben" Beneke. It allows to build a wall at an angle of about 27° to the baseplate grid of studs. This angle is performed using jumper plate AZMEP technique. The 1x1 elements which the wall are made of (here bricks) may also be slightly turned to create of less regular shape." - from The Unofficial LEGO Advanced Building Techniques Guide compiled by Didier Enjary
ANT Posted September 3, 2010 That's very nice, the rotation effect is especially well done The colours are well chosen and not so common, this adds much to the creation
74louloute Posted September 3, 2010 This technic is totally amazing, for the reference ! I have to try this ! Your Moc is a nice representation for this technique. Meanwhile, I don't know if the black is the best color to see that great technique.
I Scream Clone Posted September 4, 2010 Thanks for pointing out a great technique to us so clearly explained. This technic is totally amazing, for the reference ! I have to try this ! Your Moc is a nice representation for this technique. Meanwhile, I don't know if the black is the best color to see that great technique. Agreed, black creations actually photograph better with a black background.
