This was hard to vote on... mainly due to the fact I bought some of these sets at normal prices, but then bought the EXPENSIVE sets for mere pennies on extreme discount.

If we're talking about paying full price, the Bohrok Va were good.

They had the then-rare trans eyes as well as the new half friction peg / half axle element.

Also a decent source of the first tohunga feet.

If we're talkin' buying on clearance... also hard to say. The Bohrok were AWESOME sets at $3 (instead of 8) and the Bahrag were great at $15 (instead of 35).

I go with the Bahrag. Even though there was redundancy in mostly having JUST blue and red parts, there was also a nice amount of duplicate parts in each set. The advantage here being, learning how to moc with multiples of the same part.

Also, an excellent source of axles and pins, as well as tubing and such.

2002 was a crappy year for the mask packs, which lost their heads, trans elements and axles.

...in place of near-worthless rubber masks.

The 2001 toa were neat because they were new.

The Toa Nuva were NOT. Worse yet, they got the new leg part... a hollow, nearly-unmoc'able piece of crap.

The creative desgn of their masks to look "organic" instead made them all look very similar to each other... and absolutely megablocking terrible.

Worse yet, they lost the trans masks I'd loved in 2001.

languages, you can't even be bothered to think of a different post for each poll.....

I voted Bahrag, even though they are small compared to other sets now.....
