Today I present to you my Lego Mystery Box. It is extendable by using a scissor mechanism.  What do you think about it?

Very nice!

A suggestion for future development: hide the bottom mechanism behind paneling and make it operable with one hand, maybe also with less reduction so it responds faster.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that, too. Unfortunately I do not have enough parts for a complete casing. But reducing the two cranks to one is a good approach.
