Cwetqo Posted December 10, 2017 Germany is big country (at least for europe), which means that people can go to many places and still pass with speaking just german and german is also spoken in switzerland and austria and many countries which have been under the influence of one of german speaking countries, so yeah, its still fairly common to meet someone who will not (either don't know to or don't want to) speakenglish. Similar is in France (even more so) or Italy. In all other, smaller countries (including Denmark), a big mjority of people speak english (at least from my experience) and even more so in Billund, which a home of such international company as LEGO (with LEGO as official languge) and many tourists visiting LEGOLAND.
