Lauriator89 Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone! I am a new member and this is my first review of one of my favourite lego town set. I hope you enjoy! Set Number/Name: 6598/Metro PD Station Theme: town (subtheme Rescue) Year Released: 1996 Pieces Count: 540 (according to peeron) Minifigures: 8 retail Price: 66 Usd (I found it on ebay in "very good condition" at 49 Euro) The Instructions: Not much to say about those, everything is showed clearly like in all instructions from that time. Random page: The Minifigs: there's a great variety of minifigures!! 8 minifigures!! we've 6 policemen, 1 female (possibly a secretary) and jailbreak joe! and a shark!! Vehicles: as in any classic police station , we receive different vehicles to increase the action!! 2 motorcycles, 1 boat, 1 helicopter, 1 car with jail to transport the prisoner vehicles are very nice , comfortable and fit very well in the design of the structure! after that we proceed to introduce the small island with the maximum security cell (a small Alcatrazz ? ) built on a small baseplate 16X16: this small alcatrazz looks very nice! but.... Jailbreak Joe escaped using a secret passage!! Now let's go to build the police departement! built on classic town baseplate 32X32 some fantastic details. the coffee machine and a computer another nice detail is the sticker with city map nice printed bricks, one with the identikit of jailbreak joe and here's the room where there is the fingerprint check . on the desk There is a bill and now there is the set in its full splendor! I think this is one of the best police department TLG has ever produced, it got an incredible design. There are plenty of figs coming with it what is great, great playability, Price: 8/10 The retail price was acceptable, Design: 10/10 It looks very good and the small Alcatrazz is a touch of style!! Minifigs and parts: 10/10: a prisoner, a secretary, 6 policemen and a shark, what do you want more?? Playability: 10/10: The island, a lot of vehicles, a shark, a secret passage and jailbreak joe! AMAZING!! Overall: 38/40 A great set. Every town and police and fan must have this set!! thank you! Edited December 23, 2014 by Rick

LEGO Guy Bri Posted October 21, 2014 One of my favorite police stations of all time. My younger brother got this for his 8th or 9th birthday and lasted until our youngest brother got a hold of it. I picked up a 2nd hand one 3 or 4 years ago from an ebay auction. It's crazy to see how some of the details inside are so ancient looking compared to newer sets. Computer fat-back monitors/key boards with most of the letters vs. the newer flat screens and full keyboard. I always loved the helicopter and boat
BricksMcgee Posted October 21, 2014 This was one of my favourite sets as a child. The jail was really well done! By the way - is that the wrong windshield piece on the boat in the individual photo?
