I'm always up for a small build contest. I'm more interested in the 49mm tire trucks, but if the group wants 42167 type builds, I can get into that.

Like @Ngoc Nguyen said, we will leave that for another contest.

But maybe we can turn it into a generic "9 wide build" contest, so cars, helicopters, bikes etc can be built too. Although bikes can become big, even with a 9 wide limit. So maybe trucks and cars.

If you include handlebars in the limit, they won't. On the other hand, for aircraft the limit is really, really tight and anything above polybag size that would probably be too limiting.

I'd stick to cars and trucks too. Perhaps there's even possibility for me to enter in such a small contest.

helicopters,

Aircrafts are a trick thing because 9 module wide helicopters make sense but 9 module wide airplanes don't. And if you limit 9 module to the fuselage of the airplane only then the airplane will get big though. 9 module wide fuselage is the scale of the cargo plane 42025.

Oooh a new contest, good job I’m back from holiday.

A size limit contest is good. I don’t build/have many trucks but I know I’ve got those wheels/tyres in my collection.

if you’re going the truck route can we define what a truck is? It’s a very American term and from my view (working in the industry) can be interpreted as many things.

We will probably go for Truck or Car, so an American Truck will fit nicely. Any other things we need to define or address?

You know me @Jim I’d be thinking of something that isn’t an American truck as that’s the obvious choice. But I have a truck in mind that I’m sure fits the bill.

Are you going to allow “licenced” models / models based on real vehicles ?

So what happened to the next competition? It all went radio silent

Just build something. I will send you a prize

Just kidding of course. I will start a contest shortly which will run during the Summer. You will have ample time to build something and we will wrap it up by the end of August or so.

As always, thanks for the nudge

So it's just "Build Truck with a width of 9 studs" and the selection of these two tires :-)

Nope, it's not. But something along that line.

Don’t go giving clues away so that people start building already

Working on it. Still in doubt about some of the rules. Maybe I will post a prelim setup so you can shoot at it.

Thanks @Jim I’m sure lots of people will still make random suggestions for rule changes
