ProfessorChaos Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) Hello, just finished this small MOC of a 60s style bungalow with garden and pool. It is built of bricks within a steel frame painted in white. https://secure.flickr.com/photos/professor_chaos/sets/72157635754315904/ Edited September 23, 2013 by ProfessorChaos Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Very nice small scale build there 'PC', I like the overall design and layout....very 1960's......Brick On ! Quote
Aussie BJ Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Nice MOC I like the offset of the front walls, the landscaping and pool look great too. Any interior in the bungalow? Quote
eurotrash Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 (edited) Very 60's, very effective. I like the scenery and grade you've included - it sets off the clean lines of the building really well. Edited September 22, 2013 by eurotrash Quote
Kivi Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Very nice design. I like how you minimized the vegetation in the garden - those built with only 1x1 bricks look quite effective. The scattered 1x1 round plates around the house are also a nice addition. Well done. Quote
ER0L Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Great! I'd love to see more buildings in that style since it's as lego-ish as it can be ... Great color combo, the snotted entrance adds a lot. And I agree with Kivi concerning the 1x1 round plates. Any chance of seeing a similar thing in minifig scale? Anyhow, great job! Quote
Hoexbroe Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Very profesional. Reminds me of teh Architecture Farnsworth house. Quote
ProfessorChaos Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) Thanks for your all comments, i am glad you like it! There are indeed some similarites with the Farnsworth House, actually it stood on my table as i was building this MOC. I also used some parts from it. I started building this MOC as i found this picture in an architecture book. It was black and white so i assumed the bricks are red, which i now found out is not true^^ Rosen House, 1961-63 by Craig Ellwood Any chance of seeing a similar thing in minifig scale? Anyhow, great job! Yes , i think i will buld a bigger version of something similar to this bungalow. Don´t know when yet, as at the moment I am working on two renaissance houses. Nice MOC I like the offset of the front walls, the landscaping and pool look great too. Any interior in the bungalow? yes there is a little bit of interior, but ther was no place for a table, so it´s only suitable as a weekend home i think.. LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Very well made! The swimming pool is outstanding! Quote
Herky Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 very cool build, like the pool, like the interior, the foliage is a nice touch, I like that it is not a big build either, colors are a nice choice, thanks for sharing Quote
kermit Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Now how did I miss this. The pool is the best part of your creation. The use of those trans-clear pieces is genius. Quote
