My recollection of series one - so VERY long ago - was that there were far too many magicians in circulation. Heady days though. Yeah, the Dummy is an all timer figure. I think it was just him, the Ninja and the Diver who had 5 copies in a box. Going off memory here I believe there were four magicians per box Quote
Lion King Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Ifi would imagine a male character wearing a hot pink tank top with a rainbow painted on his cheek, suggesting that he could be gay or bi. Or a woman wearing a plaid shirt with sleeves rolled up, revealing a pride tattoo, which suggest that she could be lesbain or bi. Quote

I’m thinking of the ‘lady’ robot in series 11 and cyclops in series 13. Somehow they managed to be both offensive and hilarious … but I think we have moved on. In some cases they were a bit silly, but in other cases OK. Things like the female skater or skier were pretty good. Although I guess those are not clumsy gender swaps. The same happens the other way around too. I wasn't really a fan of the boy unicorn after the girl. Quote
Lion King Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Oh and i saw one very cute thing - someone did wear a shirt that read ‘i’m bi-ceratopsian!” For a bisexual person :) Quote
Lyichir Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) 12 hours ago, Artanis I said: The heads all have a reverse face. Some of the minifigs have 2 heads: 1 with 2 female faces, the other with 2 male faces. I don't think any of them have 1 of each on the same head. Yup. For that series it was probably largely a factor of how the game it's based on is played—figures based on "player characters" that combined a fantasy race with a character class had two heads for customizability, while non-player characters with one "canon" depiction only had the single head included. Eyelashes and lips get the "female-presenting" designation, and if the head has neither, I consider it gender-neutral and will use it for either if I think it fits the personality I have in mind. And all this talk of muscles and bikini tops has me wishing there were some female bodybuilder torsos with both! Quote

Yeah in retrospect there weren’t that many that were awful. That unicorn for boys was quite the flex - make it Blue! Give it weapons! Quote
Robert8 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 The S11 Lady Robot wasnt THAT bad. I was fully expecting a gender swap of the S9 Battle Mech when the list was revealed. Like, a pink recolor of it. But a recolor of the S6 Clockwork Robot was a nice suprise .... As for now, Im expecting gender counterparts of S11 Gingerbread Man S11 Scarecrow S12 Fairytale Princess* S20 Super Warrior S21 Centaur Warrior *not sure if Prince Charming counts as a gender swap but anyway... CentennialPark Posted February 26 Posted February 26 What are the chances we get a full castle minifigure series next year? The next ones in line are F1 and the Spider-verse figures? I heard a rumour about the 2nd one. Quote

karrit Posted February 28 Posted February 28 They also had Gingerbread Woman parts in the 2022 Holiday BAM tower. Quote

I don’t know how likely or soon they woul do that, given that we already have Wolfpack Beastmaster in Series 27. And I think we got brown Spaceman in 2023 then no space-related minifigure in Series 25 in January 2024. In other word, we might see another series with no castle-related minifigure that might lead us to castle-themed series in future. Just my wild guess - don’t quote me on it. Pop Star c o Posted March 23 Posted March 23 On BrickFanatics, there are rumors that due to the third entry of the Spider-Verse trilogy being delayed, this may also affect the release of the CMF series scheduled to release later this year and that we may potentially see another CMF instead, or even possibly none at all. Production for this figures must be way to far by now and replacing it with something else would be to late at this point. Sure, they could just bring no CMF out at this point and release it later, but that doesn´t really seem more likely to me Quote
hikouki Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I can understand that Lego would want to release an IP product close to the release of a movie, etc. But to a certain extend, they can only wait so much, no? I do not think it is harmful to release the CMF as planned. Although if they do postpone it, I am pretty sure Lego already has future non-licensed CMFs in the works and I would not mind a second one. (I would even prefer two CMFs each year! LOL) Quote

(I would even prefer two CMFs each year! LOL) No doubt there are strict guidelines as to what they can release and when in the contract with the IP holder, and what happens in the case of a delay in the movie. Especially if there is even a small spoiler in what LEGO release, then there is a reason to delay set releases if the movie is delayed. CMF are also different to regular sets in that they tend to disappear after about 4 months. Without the movie, they might struggle to sell as merchandise does better when it is released alongside the movie. Quote
Robert8 Posted March 24 Posted March 24 If that happens, I think they'd fast track a regular series (Series 28) to take that spot Maybe Im misremembering but I think something like this happened before and they had a regular series ready as replacement Quote
