We all have that special connection to a movie, that means something for us. I have a lot of favorite movies, but in the genre Sci Fi, one sticks out as a classic- The Fifth Elememt. The overall story in the movie is just fantastic, with a great sense of humor and great actors. I have never before sat down and build something inspired by a movie, where it is a physical thing. Many has build Korben Dallas hover taxi and the police car. I figured it was time to challenge myself and build the 4 stones that combined with Leeloo, makes a powerful weapon. The stones are complicated as a triangle, but only 2 of the tips is sharp. Each stone represents a source and has vertical or horizontal symbol lines. I began with the Earth stone, as it has 6 horizontal lines straight. Next up was the water stone that gave more challenge and ways to figure out the wavy lines. I figured out to use the 1x2 plate with rounded ends to make a chain to make the wavy lines. The lines travel over a 1x4 curved slope and under a inverted curved 1x4 slope. The Fire stone was a clear nightmare to build, as the lines are vertical, but also begins from the base of the stone. I somehow figured out a way to do it. Next op was to build the transparent beam they comes up from the stones. Luckily I have a lot of the old transparent 1x2 and 1x4 bricks, but the challenge was their clutch power, as they don’t have the supportive pipes in the tube. As a little detail I build the opening slots on the stones, as they are important for the overall design. Feast your eays.
