May the 4th Eurobricks Star Wars Contest

May the 4th be with you. Welcome to Eurobrick's annual Star Wars contest!
This year will be a little different as we have three different categories and a chance to win some great Legos! TLG is no longer sponsor the contest so we've re-formatted it a little differently. Prizes can only be shipped if you have the ability to get Lego shipped to you from Lego.com.

General Rules
The contest runs May 1st through July 1st. As long as it's still July 1st, 2026 somewhere in the world, you can still enter.
All entries must be new builds not shown online or publicly before May 1st, 2026.
Only official LEGO elements should be used. Avoid third party parts or clone bricks. Digital entries will be allowed. All digital entries must use only existing pieces in existing colors.

Entries may be updated as long as the contest is still open.
All entries must be posted as a new topic in the Watto’s Junkyard forum with the title prefixed by, "[M4-26 - category] - entry name". (For example, "[M4-26 - Underworld] – The Pikes".)
You may do a 'full-blown photo edit' with all the text, effects, background compositing, support erasing, and other effects on one picture. All your other pictures may have no editing other than color adjustment or background removal for a solid-color background. For obvious reasons, any photo editing that changes the shape, functionality, or color (not tint or adjustment, but actual color) of a LEGO piece is prohibited. It is also prohibited to use the Lego logo in any picture.

As this is a Star Wars contest all entries need to be Star Wars related.
A link should be included in this thread to ensure your entry is counted.
This contest is open to all EB members, even if they joined EB after the contest has begun, with the exception of the Star Wars staff, who are not eligible to win prizes.
You may enter each category as many times as you would like. Each contestant can only win 1 prize, if multiple categories are won by the same contestant, he/she chooses which prize to receive and the other prizes will be awarded to the runner ups.

Judging Method
There will be a team of judges who will score builds based on the following criteria:
Category: Pass/Fail Does your build fit the category?
Majority vote of the judges decides pass/fail if the vote isn't unanimous.

Storytelling ?/10
Does your build communicate a story all on it's own?

Aesthetics ?/10
Detailing, build composition, and visual impact.

Technical Ability ?/10
How well you use building techniques. SNOT, NPU, and movement are all elements of this category.

Final Score: ?/30

Categories
Underworld

Build a set of at least 5 and no more than 7 figures that represent a syndicate, cartel or other underworld group. Droids, brick-built or molded, count as a figure. This is a fig-barf challenge. You don't have to build any characters that currently exist in Star Wars media, but your figures should look like they fit within the SW universe. Side builds may accompany your minifigures but you may use no more than 100 pieces. Pieces used to kit out your minifigures and the figures themselves don't count against the 100 piece limit.

Example:

Alphabet
Build an alphabet fighter. Your fighter should be a 1 or 2 man ship and should resemble a letter of the Latin alphabet. An astromech is also allowed and does not count towards the 2 pilot limit. You can pick a letter already in use in the SW universe like X or Y, but your ship should be a unique take on the letter. Your ship also needs to look like it would fit in the SW universe. No generic Sci-Fi ships please.

An extra note for judging, it can be hard to score points in Storytelling for the ship category. Think about including battle damage or other elements that tell a story as soon as you look at the ship.

Example:

H-Wing_Fancy May

Built by Eric Cacioppo

T-Wing Starfighter v. 2.0 (2020)

Built by Dave Kaleta

Size Matters...
Build a MOC that is as tall as it is wide or long. Your size limit is 24 studs. You can build smaller, but your build must not exceed 24 studs in length, width or height. The height of your MOC must match that of the longest side. This should be an interior, exterior or landscape MOC. Fighters or parts of ships may be included, but there must be a clear base/ground portion of the MOC.

Example (please note these examples are too large to meet the requirements of the category, but they give you a good feel for what it's about):

Desert

Built by oblivion_builder

the Gathering of the Pirates

Built by Chris

Thanks for running this again this year

id like to enter but please exclude me from any prizes.

a question: in the size matters category are we permitted a border exempt from the 24 studs maximum dimension? Provided the actual content within the border is no bigger than 24x24x24

i ask because I’d like to use 4 12x12 bricks as the structural base, but they will look ugly if I can’t border them

even a 1 stud allowance (in all directions) for a black border would help

understood if you refuse though, just thought it was worth asking
