The mold is kinda wierd and I feel like it would have been better in a different color.

I like the piece itself, but lime green is a really strange choice considering that‘s supposed to be the T-Rex baby from TLW :snicker:

That’s my thought on both piece and color. I like the piece itself but not the lime green color.  I guess I will still add it to my animal kingdom.

There are two thing's that have me puzzled about these sets, for one the Pteranodon set, comparing the leaked info about piece count and price not even to mention the name itself Baby Dinosaur: Pteranodon. All of that heavily suggested it wasnt a playset and rather a buildable baby like we all assumed, but then that Instagram picture came out and showed it will be a juniors set? That makes no sense haha, so either our leaked info was wrong, or perhaps theres an extra set? My reason is because it stated there would be 300+ pieces for $30, which is relatively decent pricing, especially for this theme haha, but if that info is for the juniors set it should be more expensive with all the large moulds right?

Then the Spinosaurus Escape set, is this a playset, or a diorama? There is a plaque on the bottom of the small fence build which says, "LEGO Jurassic Park". Therefore as its breaking the 4th wall technically lol, just like the actual awesome diorama we got, which also has a quote from Ian Malcolm. So fair enough if this is supposed to be a diorama then that's fantastic! There is said to be around 800 pieces so there should be another decent chunk of build I hope! However, if it is a diorama, why does Alan have a motorcycle!?! And Billy has a smartphone in 2001?!?! I guess its supposed to represent the sattelite phone but still that bugs me🤣 Plus, if thats supposed to be a playset, then why does it say "LEGO" on the plague instead of Jurassic Park, or as a diroama, why not say "LEGO Jurassic Park 3"?

Thats my small rant anyways, please let me know your thoughts!

Could be irrelevant, tho issue #27 of the (latest) lego jurassic magazine has a new look mosasaur on the cover. I know we have the sketch of the upcoming set, this might also be some indication of how it may look? idk

I think they're just using re using the mosasaurus from one of the Lego TV shows, same as the allosaurus.

Are we sure that the new Mosasaurus itself will be buidlable, not molded? It’s kinda odd to see two Mosasaurus sets, both buildable, while two Spinosaurus sets - one modled and one buildable.

From trustworthy sources, to which they blatantly stated it would be moulded as well as the sketch that followed, it seems very likely we will get a fully moulded Mosasaurus, which is beyond fantastic! Hopefully we can get more news on it ASAP!

If taht’s very true, it’s pretty funny tho. In 2025, we got buildable Mosa and molded Spino. This year, we might get modled Mosa and buildable Spino.  Weird flip flop. But if it’s really a modled Mosa, I will be happy!

Yeah, from the leaked sketch I would assume that the fins are actually movable and not part of the main mould like in that picture.
