Can I say specifics? I think it’s just my unpopular opinion here but I think we have seen so many new rarity’s since 2022. I prefer to get new molded species that we never got before. I’m very looking forward to see a “young” T-Rex or new Pteranodn baby mold as I welcome new baby dino molds.

And JP3 raptors had “quill” feathers, didn’t they? While we have seen raptors in other movies, I am not sure if we will see that JP3 raptor mold. I’m fine with reusing existing raptor mold pieces

Like I said a bit earlier here, we haven't seen any dinos with color patterns based off of the novels, and the raptors in those were yellow with red stripes in the first novel and green with red stripes in the second, I could easily see TLG doing something like that since it wouldn't take much effort to make

So we went from a moulded Spino & brick-built Mosa last year to a moulded Mosa & brick-built Spino this year :snicker: How the turns have tabled

Did I miss something?

Hahaha, i just saw that too, that is very bizarre, but i guess thats fantastic news for the Mosa! And im not sure how to feel for Spino, is it going to be a playset? If its just one big brick-built Spino why does the title say "escape"?

This does feel a bit like what we had last year, with us only knowing how the dinosaurs would look, only this time it's just text, and not good quality images.

I think that the reason for mosa being moulded this time around might be because they ran out of new part budget for the Rebirth wave, so they could have only made it brick-built then.

For the spino on the other hand I have no idea why they don't just reuse the one from last year, since they only really need to change the tail to make it the JP3 one. But I guess we still don't know how these new sets will look, or even what exactly they are. So maybe there is a reason for it.

So as I am to understand we have poor quality pictures somewhere and a set description or 2 I guess?

Neither :snicker: Reliable leakers have simply stated that the mosa will be moulded and the spino brick-built

I'm glad to hear about the molded mosa I just hope it's not like one of the set descriptions that said the brachiosaurus could rear up, but then in reality it has solid unmoving legs.

Is it possible the brick built spino is getting the trex treatment like the set with the 2 tour vehicles one crushed one not?

Strange indeed, maybe it is a display Set and not a Playset, similar to 76956 T. rex Breakout, though would be rather small at that price point then.

There is nothing on reddit yet, I guess the Legoleaks site there is not that up to date anymore.

Well hopefully the Mosa is fully moulded, and has good articulation, i imagine it'd be similar to the 2018 Mattel Mosa, with the head and body as one mould, with a seperate piece for the lower jaw and flippers, although im not sure how they'll do the tail lol

Apparently at the New York Toy Fair, the Toy Associations "2026 Toy of the Year Award" had 2 awards for Lego one for the Gameboy set and the other "Construction Toy of the Year" being awarded to the T-rex Skeleton set! Im very glad and happy to hear, because it is a very cool set! Do you guys think this has any significance to the future sets? As in getting more 18+ Skeletons/JW sets in general?

We do have 2 mystery 18+ sets already, but i guess they would have been working on this whole 2026 wave around the time the 2025 skeleton set got released anyways right?

Probably not as much as sales. But in the end, a product that gets a award there is likely one that is well received anyways, so definitely could see them doing more.

Probably even before it´s release. But eitherway it could be an other skeleton but also something completely different. Personally I would prefer a Minifigure Set, especially a Visitor Center.

Very well put, cheers mate! Well if they do make more, hopefully at a smaller scale, cause that T-rex is gigantic haha🤣

Oh really? Jeez, i guess they need plenty of time for development/marketing/production etc. Me too man, that or even another diorama, they look awesome and still achieve minifgure compatibility!

Are GWP's only available through online orders or will I be able to get it in person through the Lego store? Cheers everyone!

You can also get them in the stores.

I hope we get to see Jurassic colors for the stegosaurus from that spider man set maybe even that pterosaur.

I hope we get new moulds that look closer to actual dinosaurs than reuising those.

I think it’s best to rename all licensed threads exclaims Jurasic World to “Ongoing” instead of leaving “2025” the way it is. @Clone OPatra hasn’t been around here lately so I’m not sure how we can change the thread names?

@Peppermint_M @MKJoshA

I support a rename. At this point it doesn´t make much sense anymore to start with a new thread, so either Ongoing, or simply 2025+2026 and we start fresh next year would work for me.

I agree for the Pteranodon, the Spidey one does look quite cartoonish now, but the Stegosaurus could get a pass, though if they were to redo it I wouldnt mind!

The latter sounds good! Mainly only renaming for anyone new who wants to find a 2026 Jurassic discussion right?

Also I had a cool thought, with the baby Pteranodon set, usually these builds get a small side build of food, Bumpy got some garden patch veges, Little Eatie got a chunk of meat, and Dolores got a bush, so I figured a random Pteranodon will probably get a fish, and thats most likely what will happen but wouldnt it be cool if it was a baby JP3 Pteranodon and we got a small parasail build lol? I know thats unlikely but it'd be a cool nod!

Reports of my ~disappearance~ have been strongly exaggerated. Or something like that. Probably could do with an ongoing for this theme, but I've started 2026 now and we'll see where we go from here.

Sorry for my absence.

So far, I think its only possible that the Buildable Baby Pteranodon and Buildable Spinosaurus could be JP3 25th Anniversary sets, but even then im not so sure anymore, nevertheless it will be great to finally get a molded Mosasaurus!! I've wanted that for just over a decade now technically🤣🤣 Hopefully it will be fully molded, but time will tell.

Anyways, the main thing I want to talk about is the Young T-rex set, because I see 2 possibilities which are both still good personally.

1- It is a TLW set! It would be fantastic to finally get an actual set from this beloved film, even if its only 1 small set haha.

2- If this set is loosely based on CC or something completely random, then I think it might be Lego preparing the mold, by using this years budget, ready for a rerelease in 2027 for TLW's 30th Anniversary! That way they can still include the mold of an important "character"(Junior), whilst not having to create a brand new mold with the 2027 budget so it could go to other things, such as Parasaurolophus or Pachycephalosaurus or Compsognathus etc.

What do you guys think?
