On a somewhat related note, do you know the canon status of the Yavin, Naboo and DSII BF2 maps? Did they actually happen in continuity, aside from the hero inaccuracies or are they just for the sake of the game? Sorry, the thought just crossed my mind with the idea of an Empire vs Rebel Yavin BP.

I meant to ask that before, but why that particular date? Did you pre-order the set at a specific shop that got hit with a delay?

Haha, no, it's just my birthday, that's all there is to it. You know... "Der Tag an dem ich ganz groß rauskam". 

Of course, after all this build-up, it would be kinda anticlimactic if I actually don't receive it. But I trust my significant other to know what she's doing... pretty please?

Yep, as soon as it was clear Bane would appear this January, so too did I instantly knew he has to be present on my birthday. 

That's the funny thing... she doesn't. Though I act like she does.

I don't remember the specific Yavin scenario- if it was the imperials arriving as the rebels evacuated, that's non-canon. Wookieepedia states groups of rebels would later return to the moon to collect data and skirmished with imperial forces, so conflict on the planet is possible, though the mobile game commander is listed as a reference (and I think wookieepedia errs in regarding that game as canon- the units alone make pretty clear to me that it's not.)

I don't remember the exact circumstances of the "gungans defeat grievous" episode of TCW, but I believe they explicitly defeat the separatists before they get to theed. That said, I don't think there's anything that would imply the separatists never attacked again later- the precedent is set by this episode that they're able to amass troops planetside.

The death star 2 scenario is just that a corvette crashes onto it during the battle of endor, and the surviving rebels inside try to do what sabotage they can before escaping, which is 100% plausible offscreen activity, though not canonically confirmed.

I didn't say there wasn't demand, I just said I thought it wasn't worth it. We've seen from Amazon numbers that it's one of the better-selling sets of the year.

IMO it SHOULD be about halved in size/content. It feels too large, and certainly too bulky. And if being $17 meant it could only have one minifigure, I'd be fine with that too, but we can round up and say $20.

Seriously. They're a fairly major rebel trooper archtype and they've been gone too long. Luckily the mold's still alive as it was recently used for luke and leia.

Also no other smart bricks until 2027. I’m guessing that is the Hoth one. It’s very weird these leaks. We were never given a date just guessed it was the August wave. Wondering why these sets were leaked and not the ones that are coming in August (unless we aren’t getting one). Or these sets leaking did the job of appeasing most people enough to get over the smart brick issue because the real summer wave is all clones again 🤣

My guess: there is no wave beyond the June and July stuff because the SB sets do count towards the yearly total after all

I also think that it isn't worth it, for instance I usually buy only at 20-30% off, I am just saying that Lego likely did their market research well.

I suppose it could be a little smaller, and arguably if they are smaller I could have a small fleet of them...

If I‘m wrong, that would mean there‘s a secret hidden list out there that somehow got swapped with a mostly 2027 list, despite the 2HY set lists for all other themes being out in the open already. Possible, but not very likely. This is already a massive year with 8 SB plus all the M&G sets

I really hope we‘ll learn soon which ones are still coming this year! The more out there stuff screams anniversary, but maybe we‘ll get lucky with the Delta-7B, the Ewok Village, and the Bounty Hunter Pursuit set at least.

With our luck though, the buildable Yoda and the X-Wing Microfighter will be the only ones to make it this year

Yeah, I hope bounty hunter pursuit and Delta-7B are summer sets, it would be a lot of yellow synergy on shelves, especially if the Razorcrest has the new color scheme. I feel like we had a lot of Republic red + white last year. If the X-wing is Carson Teva's aren't his colors a shade of yellow/lime as well.

Maybe there is a communication issue in place. Like one of the Lego designers asking "Hey, can we do some Endor sets again?". And then the executive answers "No, we definitely won't do any more Andor sets!".

While I didn't assume there would be some dedicated button for it, I remember from elsewhere that you could input some "[QUOTE]" codes yourself in order to make it manually work. However, since I doubt this would make things that much faster, it's honestly fine the way it is. Will go this little "extra mile" from now on, because I think it's much more pleasant to read for the naked eye.

That's funny... I always thought the Bounty Hunter Pursuit remake would be pitch perfect for 2027 and it's accompanied 25th AOTC anniversary. But now that we obviously assumed the leaks to be for 2026, I desperately want it to hit stores this summer.

That would be really odd to me. I know lego isn't publicly traded, but a company just deciding not to release any waves of products for the second half of the year would be wild to me- I can't remember the last time 2HY for star wars didn't have a single full wave. (And I'm not counting the advent or fall UCS as full waves)

I can’t see it either but if they are releasing waves in January, March, May, June and July that is a lot of new sets in the shelves. Maybe the June and July counts as there 2HY wave swear they used to release the 2HY sets in June in the good old days

I think this is a case of a wave not leaking despite the fact that it normally does. Then again it is January, if we see nothing by March, we can start worrying, otherwise it merely means they have gotten lucky with this wave not leaking.

Yeah, I just acknowledged the many many waves we are seemingly getting this year. While we would like the additional sets in order for Lego to accommodate for all the BS sets, there's obviously only so much shelf space (though the BS sets are only launching in six countries) they can work with. So an somewhat slimmer sommer offering, dominated with Mando & Grogu sets, would make some sense... even if that's not the way we wanna see it. On the other hand, it's still soon enough to get another leaked list for this August.

Technically, June counts as 2HY from TLG‘s perspective, so we‘ll still have a 2HY wave. Moreover, don’t forget that some of the sets on that list are still coming!
Goat simply said „most“ of those sets are coming out in 2027, probably as in more than half, not the „vast majority“ or „almost all“. So with a list of 9 sets, it‘s still possible 4 of them get released this year ^^
