Unconfirmed sources said the 1:8 Emira might be purple. If so, this would be very great.

I find the Emira rumors a bit odd. It is neither a new release from Lotus nor their most exotic car of this era. I just find it a bit too ordinary to fit the 1:8 criteria judging by LEGO:s previous releases in the series. Having said that, I would sure like to own a 1:1 scale version of the Emira and would be quite happy with a 1:8 version as well. :)

Agreed. Since the GT3RS the 1:8 line has definitely moved up a tier into hypercar territory.

Emira is a sportscar (not even a supercar) and already 5 years old.

An Evija would be a better fit, but would be very tricky to build accurately.

Why doesn't TLG choose brands like Rolls-Royce or Bentley to design 1:8 scale sports cars

I can see at least two reasons:

1. During marketing research they figured out that Rollses and Bentleys aren't as attractive to the target audience compared to other brands
2. Rolls & Bentley don't think Lego's audience is worth marketing to.

If true, it's definitely not a bad one. Lots of P1 panel reuses are possible, like the higher fender piece in the rear or the new slightly curved panels.

3. Rolls Royce and Bentley are not Sports Car/ Super Car manufacturers

Feels good not to care about 1:8 scale. From this perspective I think that Emira Sports car is a poor choice for series. But perhaps Lotus gave A LOT of money from their marketing budget in order their car to be the next 1:8 series. For brands like Ferrari, I guess Lego is paying fee for IP.

These two brands are more business-oriented than sporty compared to others, so they may be more suitable for the Icons series.

So ikea country winned the speculation contest for the 2026 1:8 Car. Sorry for the Spitfire, E Type and Tesco country;).

I'm really excited the 1:8 supercar turned out to be the Sadair's Spear. Now the only questions are the colour and the features (most importantly the gearbox and if there will be any novelty).

On another note, it seems we have only 2 numbers left which can be anything but car/motorbike (hopefully).

Yes there is, the unique Dihedral synchro-helix actuation doors. Im really curious how they implement them in massive giant scale compared to "tiny" jesko. In my head i think the solution uses a ton of turntables. But i do over build, design and think stuff. So the solution might be a lot simpler:).

Didn't expect it to be the Sadair Spear in the end. Looks like the rumors were right. I reckon they might use some transparent pieces for the windshield; otherwise, the roof looks a bit flimsy. Only three numbers left now—hope we get something different. Fingers crossed.

Given that 42230 and 42237 don't come with any age rating there might be a chance that there are no sets for those numbers, which leaves us with only 42242.

What's more, 42242 could very well be a recolor variant of an already confirmed set in this lineup, just like 42241. If that's the case, it will completely kill any hype and anticipation we have for it.
