I always imagined an Armada minifigure as in full gold armour, with dark red torso and a black moustache, quite often this individual would be seen with some reales in his palms or rather, hand clips. I suppose he would be sitting down too.

Oh my yes, but if we've got classic Broadside, Woodhouse and Kahuna all in proximity, maybe we should have a classic Imperial Armada minifig too.

Aye, I see yer point. The enemies should all have classic designs.  But think of the new pirate lady, she will be the only new design. 

 

P.S. I appreciate the possibility to use this theme for the entirety of EB, though its compatibility is lacking on some forums. Nevertheless, a fun addition.

Is there an option of a rotating banner? Like on a screensaver, that every so often a new banner appears at the top of the forum page?
In this way you could put kind of theme-related pics for show. One day for example only recent pirate minifigs. Another day its the turn for the old school. And another time a mix of Islanders and civilians in the pirate theme.

It's something that could be implemented... but I don't have the time to create multiple banners just to accommodate more minifigures... and each banner also requires a Dark Mode counterpart.

So all of a sudden, there would be 4 banners.

Make a contest out of it?
As far as I can tell, sometimes there's a contest with prizes on the forum. Well, perhaps make it a part of a LEGO photography contest?

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately when it comes to multi-collaboration efforts there are a few shortcomings:

• The participants will most definitely use different cameras, have different lighting setups, have varying levels proficiency in photography, etc.
  So the images will vary and there will be noticeable visual inconsistencies between the minifigures
• Someone still needs to edit the banner... particularly the time consuming part of removing the background from the images.
• I'd have to oversee the content, which would be far more work than designing a second banner

 

That said, if someone else wishes to oversee further editing of the banner... or a second banner, I'm happy to provide the assets.

@zinnn made an offer along those lines a while back but I was too busy to pursue it further at that time.

But now I have a window of opportunity to at least pass the torch to someone else.

More than a year has passed. Only the Pirate Forum and the Technic Forum have their own themes. I like the theme of the Pirate Forum; I feel at home here!

I am not Mister Phes, but I am also happy to hear that you can enjoy the forums! I am also amazed by the work Phes did for the Pirates forum - the theme is looking super awesome to me - also I am happy my dark-mode could be implemented and is working with such themed approach.

Visually this theme is just outstanding to me!

Thank ye, but have you viewed the forum on a 4K display?

On my laptop it's fine, but on 4K desktop the header image isn't quite wide enough for some reason...
