Those are 4 good points from you guys, i hope it is just a set kept super under wraps from leaks that we'll get later, otherwise i think it would've been better to have that buildable aquilops be a brick built to scale version of D-rex as it is an important part of the movie, but i guess time will tell, still loving what we did get from it! 😁 looking forward to reading everyone elses thoughts!

And also, no baby Ptera or Stego, soo.. maybe anniversary sets next year?? Haha, fingers crossed!

I really like these sets.

The new velociraptor mold is excellent and I can't wait to get more recolors of it so I can replace my JP raptors.

The minifigure pieces are nice, a lot of variety in clothing and faces and a lot of printed shorts. I think i might be able to use the tan shorts to upgrade Muldoon.

The builds are pretty good too. I'm glad that this lineup isn't just vehicles and not much else. They seem to have balanced out the theme better this go around.

I don't think we will get the D rex at all. Kinda disappointed with the wave, especially the prices.

Not too sure about that, new Spino, new Titano, new Raptor mold, return of the Quetz and Dolores is nothing to scoff at

So we don't know anything about 76971?

it wasn’t listed as part of the summer sets this year. so maybe it’s a set for later this year or maybe a cancelled set.

I was afraid of something like that.

A surprisingly strong line-up of sets, although most prices are horrendous.

Baby Aquilops looks cool. Not interested in big-scale buildable dinosaurs, but good job.

Raptor Escape is a really nice set. The minifigures are good, the dinosaurs are awesome, and the build is well built (I especially appreciate the inclusion of a sidebuild.) Decently priced, too.

Raptor & Titanosaurus Tracking is quite good, but absolutely not enough for that price. The abandoned gas station is a really nice 20€ build. The camp is cute, but the tree is too thin. The vehicle is weird, and not particularly interesting. While I like the set as a whole, it has no business being more than 60€.

Mosasaurus Boat is easily the highlight of the wave for me. I was hoping they'd keep the brickbuilt Mosasaurus as a separate set, and oh my, it's exactly that. The boat looks really good, and the rock sidebuilds are a fantastic inclusion. Mosasaurus looks amazing, obviously, and the minifigures look cool (although I assume they are both random mercenaries). But the weirdest thing about this set. How is it 60€?! I thought I'd never see a decently-priced Jurassic World set, but I am truly amazed it's not 100€—and it includes big moulds for the boat!

T. Rex Escape is easily the poorest set of this wave. Now, don't get me wrong—the build is super cute, and I like the T. Rex. But that price??? It doesn't even have 200 pieces, and the T. Rex is probably the most common big dinosaur. This is a scam.

Spinosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus Mission is definitely a good set, but I don't see why it needs two vehicles. Just choose one or the other. The temple is awesome though, I love this type of architecture. Overall, I love the adventure vibes. The dinosaurs are good, but I don't like that Spinosaurus is locked behind a 150€ set (the price, yet again, is not it).

I was right! They ARE using a new raptor body!

Yeah, sadly, still no fan of the dinosaurs with lack of articulation, but I get that it is much cheaper to just do two moulds for it. Aside from that it really looks great.

As for the Sets, not interested in the buildable Aquilops, but the moulded one looks great. Kinda strange they named the Mosa Set Buildable Mosasaurus - otherwise it looks good though. Still don´t like the Titanosaurus, so that one is an easy skip for me, same as the T-Rex. I do like the Spino/Quetz-Set, but it will depend if I see if for a good price somewhere.

So happy the spino comes with a build I'm interested in! absolutely getting that set and the moasasaurus. I might get the titanasaur as well but I think I'll wait to see if it goes on sale.

So far I'm quite mixed on these new sets.

My personal favorite set has to be the Titanosaurus set. It's 2 new dinos(with one being huge), and I also really love that gas station build(especially all the detail that make it look abandoned) the small camp build is also neat, I'm only not a fan of that small car. $100 isn't great for this, but it also isn't too bad, I feel like it being $80 or less would have been asking too much.

the car from  The Velociraptor set might just be the best looking car from these whole theme. It's just a really neat and compact off-road car. there's also the exclusive Aquilops piece here, but the price feels really bad, if you compare it to the Dilophosaurus set, which also had a car, small terrain build, and small dino, but was $15 less.

The Temple looks amazing from what can be seen, and I expect that it would have some fun details on the inside, but it's literally got just the 2 vehicles from that one 2021 Carnotaurus set, and I only care for one of the dinos here. So at $150 this just feels like an easy skip for me.

That Boat is just too undersized for how it was in the movie, that just makes it look funny, and without any molded dinos here I just don't have any interest in this set personally.

The T-rex set is really overpriced with a dino that has been featured so many times, so that just feel like a very easy skip for me.

Now there are 2 weird things about this wave. First one is the minifigure distribiution, since to have the 2 main characters exclusive to 2 $100+ set doesn't look right, like it really makes it weird to have 3 sets with just 2 random side characters from the movie. It's werid seeing something like that after multiple movie set waves with at least 5 Owens.

The other thing is the lack of the D-rex, with which I have low hopes that would actually happen, as the set wave feels complete, and if they were to have a set with it then it  would have been another large structure build, and the Spino and Quetz set is just that, so to have to set of the same type would have been weird. But there's one skipped set number, and this images werent revealed by some official source, and Lego might have really wanted to keep that one set a secret, so that might still maybe happen.

They forgot to make the female of Zora's team's minifigure.

Makes me think they are the first to die

Is the new small raptor body the same as the Atrociraptor body from JWD?

The velociraptor chase set with the humvee-styled off-roader looks great. It's a unique, chunky, solid, detailed 4x4 and the ppp isn't bad. The baby dinosaur mold is neat too.

The set with the jungle temple is great. The ruins will go perfectly with Adventurers, Indiana Jones, or City jungle explorers, the 6x6 off-roader is an interesting build with neat styling and side-by-side seating, and the helicopter looks pretty good too. I really hope I can get the set without the dinosaurs for half-price.

The T-rex and boat set is still overpriced, but I'm glad they put the T-rex into a smaller set this wave instead of paywalling it at the highest or second-highest price points, or putting a version with wild pastel colors in a 4+ set. Such an iconic dino should always be as easily accessible as an X-wing or a Batmobile.

The gas station set reminds me of the gas station scene from the second book. I guess the screenwriter was really mining the books for any previously unused scenes he could find.

The mosasaurus boat set is definitely the odd one out here. If they're going to put "brick-built mosasaurus" in the name of the set, they should have just included the mosasaurus and then really emphasized the rebuildability of a brick-built dinosaur by including B and C models like a Creator 3-in-1 set. I bet there are going to be loads of alt builds on Rebrickable.

It looks like it is new, the legs are moved and the head tilts down.

Imma be honest…. I like this sets more than I expected to XD, the most exciting thing imo about this reveals is the new aquilops im glad we have another ceratopsian and a basal one at that, the titanosaurus is growing on meim super glad it doesn’t have the ugly spikes on its tail and the bulb could easily be a real thing in real titanosaurs (titanosaurs as in the whole family) spinosaurus looks great as always and I was right in the fact that the quetz was going to be in that set (I would’ve included another dinosaur for good measure) I’m glad we got a new raptor piece but I’m pissed off that it came in 2 sets when  I would’ve loved to see a Pteranodon with the tlw color scheme (which is said to appear in the movie) specially in the mosasaurus set just to make it feel more like a regular jw set… and that’s my least favorite set it’s good but it just doesn’t feel jwish and I again would’ve loved a new pteranodon. Hopefully it appears in 76971 but I think that will just be the D. Rex sadly. But overall I’m impressed

It's odd none of these sets have a lab theme, maybe the mutant set well.

Good point, we didnt really get a boat dock either which i think is an important location in the movie. Though, Lego has skipped other things in the past before, like Lockwood for his own house 🤣

Ah, cheers! Probably will be the first to die like Dinobricks said lol

We really need a Lockwood minifigure, and a Dodgson from JWD.

Locations.

The Lost Crocodile Temple? From the trailer. Jurassic World is strong!

Also the packages are interesting. Spinosaurs color scheme is not for me. But seeing it live may change my opinion.
