ik this will sound like a nothing burger, but we are getting a LOoot of new characters, and (not confirmed yet) a new thing minifig that is gonna be shirtless (take this with a grain of salt bcs I'm not directly the person who knows the leaks)

When saying take it with a grain of salt, it's better to not say anything at all or wait until some solid confirmation!

true, but at the same time he was the same person that the last year (in July) tell me abt anti venom, and the same person that in the start of the year tell me abt new kraven, new hobgoblin, Mary jane, Oscorp Tower and The cmf list.

benching half the Thunderbolts, including the goat John Walker (and Ava and Alexi), and yet sam's stupid team (which I called the EXACT roster of months ago, minus the fact that it will also include Bruce Hulk) appears to comprise most of the "invincible avengers"

which kills what little hope I had for the film. I honestly am not sure if I'll even go watch it. I at least thought I'd be able to pick up those minifigs from the sets, but now I don't even think we'll get that.

Can anyone with the Fantastic Four set confirm if the Thing uses the same colour as the Fetts/Cho Chang/etc? I'd like to switch his hands out when I eventually get it.

Prove what you're saying you heard from last July or earlier this year is true. Otherwise, you're going to perceived as just blowing smoke to make yourself sound like you know something when you probably don't. Sorry, but we've seen this kinda deal too many times to count. Unless you can prove otherwise (a picture of a text with a timestamp of the earlier predications, for example, would work) or time turns out to vindicate you, you won't be believed. But whatever you do: don't post leaked images... good way to get banned doing that!

The fact that lego can't be bothered to give the thing the correct color hands- and in fact has him wearing gloves inside his hands, somehow- really bothers me.

As for slopsday,

Worse- the guardians all got a fair bit of screentime/contribution. Most of them were a big part of the Titan battle and Rocket and Groot, while only fighting in Wakanda, still had a pretty solid role in the film. From what I've heard they're completely left out of the main story- the "race to universe X" thing- and even their alleged role of defending earth is taken up by Wakanda and Atlantis.

But the more I think about it, I don't think this film will be good at all, so I'm glad they'll escape it. Plus,

The lineup of people left on earth includes my top 5 favorite marvel heroes (Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher, Moon Knight, John Walker), so maybe they'll get to interact. (They won't.)

Punisher is an interesting choice to guest star in the next Spider-Man movie, I get the feeling that Holland's Peter Parker would genuinely despise him.

No doubt the movie will stick to a PG-13 rating, so there's a very real chance of getting MCU Frank as a minifig next year.

Still hoping Daredevil will show up in something that will allow Lego to make a minifig of him at some point.

Wonder if they’ll put him in a more comic accurate suit for this appearance. I guess punisher started off as a Spider-Man villain so perhaps they’ll go that route. Just hope it’s not Spider-Man and Punisher vs Hulk. Really want the focus to be on Spider-man vs his villains. Also Daredevil next please 🙏

I mean Spidey doesn't kill so I'm sure he'll take issue with that, but I can't see him "genuinely despising" anyone besides Goblin, and even then, he learns to let go.

If we have to have hulk in this film, I'd prefer Frank and Spidey taking him down over Professor Ruffalo babysitting Peter.

Anyways, given how every other year we get a Marvel themed CMF (2021, 2023, 2025), does anyone else think Marvel Rivals could be the Marvel CMF for 2027?

No clue. Sometimes people just drop off the site.

I've been optimistic for Rivals sets before, but now that we have a chance at MCU Punisher (Honestly, just that we have a chance at a punisher in a sub-$300 set), I'm not going to let myself hope for anything further than a buildable jeff. (Also, since we are shortening seasons with the same content, we'll have double the amount of new rivals added between now and the release of a fall 2027 CMF as there would be slots in the CMF). Even as-is I'd have a tough time condensing the current roster to only 13 characters (we can slot a molded jeff in with someone else)

I think I'd go: Magneto (with molded armor and new molded sword), Captain America (with new molded armor and new shield print), Peni (buildible accurately sized mech that she doesn't actually fit inside), Emma Frost (with molded jeff and psi  beam),  The Punisher (with Adjuncation and Deliverance, as well as a smoke grenade), Moon Knight (two crescent darts and a molded ankh), Squirrel Girl (slingshot and 3 squirrels, including Tippy-toes), Magik (new multi-piece molded sword and a molded demon), Luna Snow (with molded snow blast and a small buildible stage), Dagger (with two daggers and a back attachment for cloak's head, hood, and cloak to look like they're wrapping around her),  Rocket Raccoon (with chaingun and B.R.B.), and Loki (With Scepter and rune)

This is a mix of trying to do what I think lego would do (50/50 male/female ratio, equal duelist/tank/strategist ratio), characters Rivals made more popular, and definitely some personal bias with MK, Magik and Punisher. But even then I'm pretty sure if we ever got a rivals cmf without accompanying sets, we'd definitely get Iron Fist, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Namor. Realistically I don't think the roster can be effectively covered in any real capacity without at least one or two waves of sets, ideally ALONGSIDE a cmf. And while Rivals continues to be very popular time will tell whether or not lego tries to capitalize on it.

Nightcrawler is rumored to be coming in a set next year. No word on whether it’s Doomsday or X-Men ‘97 season 2. Really hoping for the latter so that he would fit with the other X-Men in the mansion and there’d be potential for more X-Men like Jubilee and Cable who aren’t in Doomsday (that we know of).

Taking that with a grain of salt, but I agree it'd be better if it was a version based on the animated series
