Mandalorianknight Posted January 3 Posted January 3 5 hours ago, doclord said: Thanos Battle on Titan feels like a shoe-in for an Epic Battle set this year with his long awaited accurate IW outfit, I think every heros outfit has already been made as well. I'm actually amazed it's taken this long to get a proper IW Thanos. But I really just want Raimi Goblin and I'm good to go with Marvel Movie figures. I think Battle on Titan may be more likely as a full-sized diorama given the amount of characters involved, but I guess there's no reason that the dioramas wouldn't also be branded as Epic Battle sets now. They had the Ghost Rider Bike at my local walmart (weirdly enough, they had the $10 sets stocked, but nothing else from january, and it rang up as "Site merch" in the self checkout rather than "lego" *set number*), and with that I'm finally able to finish my Midnight Sons display Honestly, most of my small concerns about the set have been allayed. Ghost Rider's face doesn't look weird at all in-person, and the bike looks perfectly serviceable with the stud shooters removed- though I will give it some more modification. For $10, it's a really excellent set- honestly, even without spider-man I would probably find it fine value for $10, so I'm glad they threw another figure in there. It is a little strange that Spidey is fighting ghost rider, but maybe Johnny's finally just trying to get spidey to pay for his sins after One More Day. Quote
Sinistereo Posted January 4 Posted January 4 so does eurobricks not archive forums anymore at the turn of the new year? I thought we would've been moved to a 2026 forum for Marvel by now Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 5 Posted January 5 The Spider-Man 3 Epic Moment set is quite possibly the set I would've wanted most as a kid. It feels so nostalgic to finally have it, after all those years. I hope they continue this little subtheme to give us more cool, affordable and displayable sets. Quote

It’s a winning formula and reminds me of the earliest years of this theme - we’d get so many of those £20 3-minifigure sets. Not that there needs to be any correlation, but Hot Toys have unveiled a new battle damaged Spidey from the first Raimi film. Maybe it’s not so far fetched for Lego to follow suit. Quote

I'm glad the tile is printed, so I may eventually use it for displaying a custom battle area for the characters. I'm probably going to order a New Goblin as I doubt Lego will release one, but I could easily see a set featuring Eddie Brock, Sandman (More normal looking) and Symbiote Spider-man representing where he broke the camera and went into the sewers to find Sandman. Unless they end up just releasing a Spider-man 3: Final Battle set and we wind up getting MJ, J.J.Jameson, Venom, New Goblin, Sandman, Spider-man and perhaps Symbiote Spider-man just thrown in. Quote

I expect at least 3. At the end of the (brand new) day, it's spider-man. Spider-man accounts for about half our total marvel sets, no matter how well the movie does I think lego can be confident spider-man sets won't do poorly- especially if someone new (to sub-$350 sets) and desirable like Punisher is involved. I'd imagine at least two sets initially - probably Spider-man, Punisher & Hulk in one with Spider-man, Sadie Sink's character, Scorpion and Tombstone in the other. Then maybe another set later in the year. Quote
brickbride Posted January 11 Posted January 11 A recent leak (the Polish one) claims that the Harry Potter advent calendar is set number 76430. That number is way off from all the rest of the HP sets, so maybe it's a Superheroes advent calendar instead? Quote

If that’s the correct number, it has to be a Superheroes AC since it’s sandwiched right between Ravager Groot and the Spidey & Doc Ock mechs I doubt they‘d bring it back already, so it‘s probably a mix-up. I haven't heard anything about silver samurai- Spoiler are people saying the symbol on the tank is his? I thought it was Mr. Negative's gang. Hadn't heard about Viper either- isn't she the Hydra operative? Not that it's out of character for Hydra to pop back up out of nowhere (And I guess with Skull a ghost and Strucker dead Viper would be the only high-ranking official from the comics left), but it'd be weird for them to show up in a spider-man movie that already has Spoiler Mr. Negative's gang, a seemingly antagonistic Damage Control, a rampaging Hulk, Tombstone's organization, and a Punisher who I doubt will see eye-to-eye with peter. 1 hour ago, Darth Phallus said: Of all the characters rumoured to be in Spiderman brand new day , -Scorpion, the punisher, Viper, Silver samouraï, Tombstone - which ones do you think will get a lego minifigure in the coming summer sets? If Sadie Sink is who the leakers are starting to coalesce about her being, and if lego's been informed, we'll 100% get her as well. If she's just some generic civvie I think it'll come down to how many sets we get. I doubt most of the cameo villains like boomerang appear in sets, unless we get at least 3. Quote
