Mandalorianknight Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) October 21st, at the median. I really am excited for that $10 ghost rider bike. I've liked the $10 marvel sets in concept but haven't gotten either of them- I don't collect much MCU anymore, and I have no use for a half-venomized Doc Ock. This is a great way to get a character I've been missing and a vehicle that makes sense in-universe. The second figure being spidey is a little annoying- it's not like even the newest collectors aren't going to have a number of him anytime soon, so while obviously they can't do mephisto it'd have been nice if it came with even a generic goon or something- but not a big deal. The main focus is Ghost Rider and the bike. And who knows, maybe it'll be an updated suit, we've been using the 2021 version long enough. Edited August 3 by Mandalorianknight Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted August 3 Posted August 3 BND suit is spectacular, amazing and dare I say sensational? Can’t wait to see Lego butcher the minifig. Quote

To be fair LEGO usually goes all out on Spider-Man, so I'm confident that at least this minifigure will look amazing/spectacular/astonishing. Quote

Swordy Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Brand New Day is shaping up to be, dare I say, amazing! I hope for a few sets, but nothing is promised. So long as we get Spoiler Scorpion and potentially MISTER NEGATIVE (oh yeah, now I’m really stoked) then I’m good for a long time. For those who are in the know more than I, do Spider-Man films always begin shooting this late to release? Will TLG even have enough material to make sets, given the flip-flopping of the story during pre-production? TLG has been trying to keep to a spoiler-free-while-movie-accurate approach as of late, so maybe just one set? Then again, this is Spider-Man, so surely they would throw plenty of budget toward this, implying a multiple-set wave, right? More likely, we’ll get a Hulk mech vs Spider-Man, because we all know the Hulk doesn’t need a mech. I’m anxious for news on the rest of the January ‘26 wave like everyone else. I’ll just throw out there my only and very random guess to the $120 18+ set: a recreation of the black suit Spider-Man cover from Secret Wars with a construction figure instead. Quote

Given how much better the 2HY waves usually are, I’ll keep my expectations low. More Raimi trilogy or Spider-verse sets would be great, but I’ll doubt we’re gonna get that in this wave. Most likely more Infinity Saga rehashes Quote

Not sure how accurate Wikipedia is, but Far from Home filmed from July through October 2018 whilst No Way Home filmed until March 2021 (although COVID restrictions were also a factor there). Doesn’t seem like Brand New Day is that large an outlier, particularly as they were waiting for Holland to finish filming the Odyssey. But yeah I’m hoping for at least one solid set from this film, and that new suit is all sorts of awesome so dual moulded legs and printed arms are a must. Wouldn’t be shocked if they did one medium-sized set, one buildable figure, and one Brickheadz set and called it a day though Plus the leaked Hasbro Marvel Legends listings for next year do list Spidey, Punisher, and Hulk (all confirmed casting info for the film so not spoilers right?) so getting those 3 at least is a given I’d think, but I do hope his rogues gallery from the film also get proper Lego representation. 3 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Given how much better the 2HY waves usually are, I’ll keep my expectations low. More Raimi trilogy or Spider-verse sets would be great, but I’ll doubt we’re gonna get that in this wave. Most likely more Infinity Saga rehashes I just want a Raimi Green Goblin with a new helmet (oh no, that’ll shatter the budget!) and proper torso / leg printing. The NWH GG should have been one of the best minifigures in this theme given how cool the live action design was, but they really fumbled it. Fingers crossed this year’s Spider-Man 2 set paves the way for more Raimi sets eventually. Watching the reviews for the summer wave, the Quinjet, Train Scene, and Peter’s Apartment are the standout sets for me. Oscorp should have been a winner of a set but the low piece count, reused mini figures, and facade-like nature of the buildings coupled with the mostly simple builds compromise it severely. Focusing all the pieces on the main tower would have been preferable because no way does this justify a summer flagship price point. The ATSV CMF wave is phenomenal. I probably would have switched out some of the more obscure characters with Spider-Man Noir, ITSV Prowler, Miles’ hooded suit etc. but have pre-ordered the full CMF set. JeanGreyForever Posted August 8 Posted August 8 If we can't get a comic version of black suit Spider-Man, I'd hope we could at least get black suit Spider-Man from Raimi's Spider-Man 3. Venom, Sandman, Harry as the New Goblin, and MJ would be wonderful as well if we got a set based on the finale fight scene. Quote

Once the NWH sandman set retires, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a set exactly like the one you described. Though I suppose the symbiote suit wouldn't be in a set based on the final fight- maybe an armored car set similar to this year's train car? Edit: No, he was in the standard red/blue there too. What fight scenes does he have in the symbiote suit? Is it when he tries to kill Sandman underground? Edited August 8 by Mandalorianknight Quote

Maybe if they incorporated the church or belltower as part of the set, they could include Peter in the symbiote suit along with Venom to showcase the birth of Venom. Quote

If Lego does this, they need to include a pew and Eddie Brock so we can recreate him praying to god to kill Peter Parker. Quote

DaredevilFan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Really excited to find out if we’re actually going to get Punisher in a set. It would be kinda crazy knowing what he’s done in the shows. Would also be a good gage to see if we can expect Deadpool or other more adult characters to pop-up at all. One step closer to Charlie cox Daredevil Quote
JeanGreyForever Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Thunderbolts will be overdue too, although at this point I can see Doomsday mostly reducing their screentime which may not bear well for their Lego presence. Quote
