Watch the plan reset for like the 5th time in a decade. Is that right? Snyder plan, hastily re-done sanitized MCUDCEU, Hamada's "10 year plan based on batman, superman, and wonder woman" (why couldn't we get this), Gunnverse. Am I missing one? I think I'm missing one.

5 reboots in a decade, and people had the audacity to say the DCEU wasn’t comic accurate.

*hierarchy of power changing intensifies*

I mean, Gunn and Safran were hired (announced) right after, so technically the hierarchy of power did change. Just not how he wanted.

At least we finally got Black Adam in that Tower of Fate set. That was cool… my, what’s this weird alien plant on my chest?

I never realized this, that’s too good. It even works with the question of what’s canon! :iamded_lol:

The hypothetical paramount reboot would just be superboy Prime walking onto the screen of Man of tomorrow, saying "hi, it's me, (actor name), we're gonna reboot the universe again."

I had a horrible idea- what if the 2026 DC march wave is Smart Brick? I can't remember whether or not the more expensive set is 18+ or not. If it is, we're probably safe, but if not... the fact that there's a Star Wars march that's all Smart Brick based... the one more expensive set with smaller ones that could easily be a starter kit and expansions... lego may have invented a new and innovative way to screw up the theme.

What's funny is if it's not Smart Brick based, no matter what it is a part of me will somehow feel relieved, which makes the whole thing feel like a psyop by lego to see how many times they can hit rock bottom and then crack through to a second, lower rock bottom.

I think the wave is too ‘cheap’ for smart bricks. The X-wing is 548 pieces for $100, I’d imagine the Star Wars license is more expensive but I think the price gap would be wider if the sets were smart bricks. The 678 piece set is $80 which just seems like standard LEGO pricing nowadays. I could see the 220 piece set being a smart brick Batmobile tho

In another round of Endgame Final Battle™ sets, of course.

I think you were joking, but finally getting Ronin in a set - any set - would actually make a lot of Marvel fans very happy.

We somehow never seem to see eye to eye on any topic, but I can assure you I feel the same (not necessarily about DC but about my own preferred themes and LEGO in general). Why can't we have just one hobby that doesn't require an app?

If I remember right we agree on Falcon Cap not being a very interesting character or good lead as well.

And yeah, this is an issue lego simply doesn't understand. People don't buy legos and go "man I wish these were integrated into apps", they buy lego so they have a hobby that's NOT on a screen, or parents get it to get their kids off screens. The continued focus by lego to mesh the two is absurd.

That's a good point- I didn't remember the piece counts. We might be safe.

That doesn’t count. That’s like agreeing that water is wet.

As far as the smart bricks are concerned, I wouldn’t be surprised if they got integrated into DC sets. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if DC is too irrelevant to get the smart brick treatment. Either way, sounds like a dumb gimmick and I have no intention of making my Lego sets “smart.” If they do somehow catch on, I just hope they don’t drive up the price of future sets too much and that we actually get something worthwhile in terms of sets.
