The hypothetical paramount reboot would just be superboy Prime walking onto the screen of Man of tomorrow, saying "hi, it's me, (actor name), we're gonna reboot the universe again." I had a horrible idea- what if the 2026 DC march wave is Smart Brick? I can't remember whether or not the more expensive set is 18+ or not. If it is, we're probably safe, but if not... the fact that there's a Star Wars march that's all Smart Brick based... the one more expensive set with smaller ones that could easily be a starter kit and expansions... lego may have invented a new and innovative way to screw up the theme. What's funny is if it's not Smart Brick based, no matter what it is a part of me will somehow feel relieved, which makes the whole thing feel like a psyop by lego to see how many times they can hit rock bottom and then crack through to a second, lower rock bottom. I think the wave is too ‘cheap’ for smart bricks. The X-wing is 548 pieces for $100, I’d imagine the Star Wars license is more expensive but I think the price gap would be wider if the sets were smart bricks. The 678 piece set is $80 which just seems like standard LEGO pricing nowadays. I could see the 220 piece set being a smart brick Batmobile tho Edited September 17, 2025 by DaredevilFan Quote

We somehow never seem to see eye to eye on any topic, but I can assure you I feel the same (not necessarily about DC but about my own preferred themes and LEGO in general). Why can't we have just one hobby that doesn't require an app? Edited September 17, 2025 by brickbride Quote

And yeah, this is an issue lego simply doesn't understand. People don't buy legos and go "man I wish these were integrated into apps", they buy lego so they have a hobby that's NOT on a screen, or parents get it to get their kids off screens. The continued focus by lego to mesh the two is absurd. 1 hour ago, DaredevilFan said: I think the wave is too ‘cheap’ for smart bricks. But I also wouldn’t be surprised if DC is too irrelevant to get the smart brick treatment. Either way, sounds like a dumb gimmick and I have no intention of making my Lego sets “smart.” If they do somehow catch on, I just hope they don’t drive up the price of future sets too much and that we actually get something worthwhile in terms of sets. You'd think, and the box office would agree, but marvel seems to believe that he's beloved by all. Dude it's $100 for a 584 piece set with what appears to be the 2020 $20 4+ X-wing, we're absolutely doomsdayed. Quote
Robert8 Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 No way.... "DC: The March Batman sets are rumored to be the Batman Logo and a bunch of Batmobiles (via Lego_minecraft_goat)" Quote
Coryo Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 3 Batmobiles in the same wave is insane lmao, I guess it makes sense to have them on shelves at the same time as the game. The Pattinson Batmobile was the most prominent in the trailer so that seems like a lock, although it would be weird to release one in 2026 and another in 2027 as a movie tie-in, assuming it keeps the same design. I know it's probably unrealistic to expect this since the $100+ Val Kilmer Batmobile is still on shelves, but I'd like to see a regular minifig-scale one too (with Robin this time.) At least they've gone back down to a reasonable price though, the increases with the B:TAS version and recent Tumbler were getting ridiculous. Quote
DaredevilFan Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I can’t help but laugh 😂 Hopefully the Logo at least has some good minifigs. Interested to see what the 202 piece Batmobile will be as that’s the smallest one we’ve gotten in awhile Quote

BrickBob Studpants Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 We were joking when we suggested a logo and three Batmobiles, and now it’s actually real?? This theme, I swear…. Quote
calebcold3 Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 Well, I'm not surprised. We're getting Speed Champions Batmobile Edition. Here's hoping the Batman Logo Set has some cool figures. Anyways, here's my predictions for the Three Batmobiles: 76331: 1966 76332: Battinson 76333: Dawn of Justice Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 They genuinely can't be serious... Quote
spiderfan2000 Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I wonder if the Batman Logo will include minifigures like the Marvel Logo does. As a note, the Captain America and Hulk minifigures from that set have a few prints that remain exclusive, and it was also the first appearance of Iron Man and Thor torso prints that were reused in other sets months later. Maybe this could help get some of the Arkham villains their proper costumes? Quote
Juvellino Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 3 batmobiles Please save us with some good minifigures Quote
Kaijumeister Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 If these Batmobiles are on the level of quality as Speed Champions, that would make this list somewhat acceptable. A Pattinson Batmobile is my most anticipated set for one of these slots and I would love if we actually got a new cowl / shoulder armour piece, but that’s definitely not happening. So for Marvel 1HY, we’re getting more unnecessary cars, mechs, and a Hulkbuster, whilst for DC we’re getting a buildable logo and three Batmobiles. I would love to understand the creatively bankrupt decision-making process when it comes to choosing sets within the Superheroes theme. Quote
DaredevilFan Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I’m guessing the Logo will have the shadow box gimmick 😂 that’s why that pic was used. So classic black and yellow logo then open it for a small Batcave build. Wonder what makes it a 20th anniversary set. Maybe they’ll do a remade Black and Grey suit from 2006. I think the minfigs could go either way, Batman, Bruce Wayne, Alfred then a few villains. Or Batman then a bunch of villains. Hoping for Croc, Bane, new black and white Two-face and Clayface Batmobiles my predictions are Pattinson, Adam west and not sure what last one will be. I doubt they’ll include another fig other than Batman Quote
BatDeanj Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 is the $80 set still meant to be an anniversary set? Hopefully, that means we get Clayface or something? Not sure how a bat symbol is an anniversary on its own. If there's not an Arkham asylum/knight batmobile, I'm not interested Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 If a friggin LOGO is the most interesting-sounding set of the bunch, you know you’ve screwed up. I will never make fun of Luke’s Landspeeder again because while there was a fleet of them between 2010 and 2020, at least they were always 3 years apart and we had plenty of other cool sets to chose from! With DC, it’s like nothing but Landspeeders with the occasional interesting set here and there *sigh* I hope the Batmobiles will at least be interesting choices, so PLEASE not another Burtonmobile, Tumbler, or 66 one. So so so sick and tired of them. Quote
RichardGoring Posted September 18, 2025 Posted September 18, 2025 I'm astonished that after the $40 Tumbler, $48 1989, $60 BTAS, and $60 Tumbler, that we can suddenly go back down to what only ever seemed to be a sensible price for a minifig scale Batmobile of $30 (which is what all of the higher priced sets should have cost). But having got a minifig scale version of the Tumbler, BTAS, 1989, and 1966, I'm not really sure I want to get any others, so it will be interesting to see how compelling the new ones are. One figure with each of the new ones, or more, do you think? The logo is an interesting prospect. It could be really simple like the Star Wars one, or perhaps they could have a scene built into the back of it like the Jurassic Park gate or Genesis/Mega Drive controller. 10 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: If a friggin LOGO is the most interesting-sounding set of the bunch, you know you’ve screwed up. Hopefully the ‘66 Batmobile had Batgirl or at least Robin. In other news, Matt Reeves said the villain for The Batman sequel hasn’t been in a movie before. So there’s a good chance we haven’t seen that villain in Lego form before. Quote

I assume he is talking about the secondary villain of the movie because all major villains have already shown up in movies (and there is no way there are making the movie without including at least one of the main villains). Clayface is the only one I can think of but he is already getting its own movie. And Mad Hatter is too cartoony for a movie like this.... Red Claw, Hush and Hugo Strange would fit within this universe I think (I wonder if Matt Reeves took TLBM into consideration when he make that statement) Quote
