And although I kinda started this (as a joke), I doubt we’d get three Batmobiles released at the same time. We’ve often had multiple Batmobiles on the shelf at the same time, but I can’t think of a time we got even two Batmobiles released together (except when one was 4+). Releasing three Batmobiles at the same time, same age range, same price sounds like a perfect way to cannibalize sales.

I was going to say that happened in 2021 with the 4+ Batmobile at $30, the Classic TV Batmobile at $30, and the Tumbler at $40, but it turns out the 4+ Batmobile and the Classic TV Batmobile were April releases while the Tumbler was an October release, so they weren't actually all released at the same time.

We currently have one $100 Batmobile, two $60 Batmobiles, and one $20 4+ Batmobile on shelves. The older ones may be phased out for the new ones, but some stores I’ll see have recently older sets in addition to current sets. If these three $30 sets are all Batmobiles, seeing seven Batmobiles on shelves concurrently at all different prices would be wild.

It’s a shame Lego is currently allergic to villain vehicles for some bizarre unknown reason. The Jokermobile, Penguin’s Submarine, Two Face’s armored car, or even that stupid tank Mr Freeze drove in Batman and Robin would all be welcome alternatives to the ongoing onslaught of Batmobiles.

True. The last couple of villain vehicles were two 4+ Jonklermobiles, a skateboard, and Penguin‘s rubber ducky from the accessory pack, and that‘s across 5 years!

You kinda have to feel bad for the DC villains in the current LEGO world. The Batman villains get steamrolled by an armada of Batvehicles and then swiftly sent to the Aslume, Lex gets beaten to a pulp by a Soup mech, and any other villains don‘t even get the luxury of existing! :snicker:

On the bright side, neither do any of the heroes beyond Superman and the bat-family!

The supes mech still makes me laugh. We know that for stuff without explicit source material, hero toys sell better than villain ones, but this is like giving Thor a motorcycle. Aside from actively hindering his mobility, what point does it have? It's open to the air, so it's not as if it prevents kryptonite poisoning. He just put it on to flex on Lex that he gets a whole set for a powersuit and all Luthor gets is printed armor and the praetorian guard shoulder pads.

Hey! I’ll have you know we got nods to the other heroes in the new Arkham Asylum… set’s box. That’s gotta count for something.

Delusion time:

Aaron Pierre is in Star Wars Starfighter, which will almost certainly get sets in 2027.

Aaron Pierre is also playing John Stewart in Lanterns. Is it possible this increases our chances of a John Stewart minifig in the next few years since they’d most certainly want to reuse a faceprint of his very distinctive face.

There's also Matt Smith and Ryan Gosling in that film, this might lead to us getting figures of Charles Manson and literally me sigma male edits to reuse the faces

~$25ish, which is bad but as far as rare lego figures go, it could be far, far worse.

Too bad he's even that much, though, he has a very Matt Smith face.

On JediJACPenguin's website, we have 7 untitled LEGO Superheroes sets coming in April/June 2026:

They are:

  • 76345 18+
  • 76346 12+
  • 76347 9+
  • 76348 9+
  • 76349 7+
  • 76350 8+
  • 76354 18+

I think the 2 18+ sets will be Marvel busts, with at least two of these being Spider-Man: Brand New Day sets. So that leaves 3 potential DC sets.

I wonder if they’ve allocated a bigger budget for Superheroes next year. Seems like we’re getting a lot more sets, plus there’s bound to be a Doomsday wave around August. I think these 4 March sets might be all we get and maybe 1 set later in the year. The 18+ sets could be a Batman bust or buildable figure like Iron man 😂

Wow. I hope one of these is a Green Lantern mech.

Who am I kidding. They’re all either Infinity saga, Batman or Spider-Man.

We’ve been so preoccupied on whether we could morb, that we completely forgot to get the minifigs to morb to.

Seven Batmobiles in one year seems like a bit much, tbh.

True, I guess it's weirder to me because I remember the figure being like 8-10 quid for ages there. Also outside of bricklink it usually goes in the 30 plus range around here. Definitely is one of the most spot on Minifig faces, to the point I think it's very hard to think of another Minifigure LEGO made that could have reused this face.

I'd buy that, betting big behind one of the most expensive films ever made, we'll see how that turns out for LEGO, they've got a much better chance coming out of this well.

Unfortunately, you're most likely right. But still, there is potential even within these subthemes!

I don't know DC that well, are there other really iconic buildings after the Daily Planet and Hall of Justice that could serve as modulars?

Wayne Manor, Wayne Tower, Iceburg Lounge (arguably too adult), Gotham City Police Department, (maybe) Ace Chemicals, Amusement Mile/Joker’s Lair, Lexcorp, Flash Museum, Hall of Doom (wouldn’t make the most sense as it’s in a swamp, but Arkham and X-Mansion arguably don’t make sense either being in a city), Titans Tower, and Belle Reve (also technically belongs in a swamp).

Iron Heights, Queen Industries, Kord Industries, Stagg Industries, and Star Labs could all also work if the DCU gives them some love, but rn they are far too obscure.

Crazy how well the new Spider-Gwen alternate face works for Supergirl's actress

It looks like Lanterns is going to be TV-MA, so maybe we won't be getting any live-action GL minifigs/sets for the time being.

I'd say Titans Tower is at least the 3rd or 4th most iconic DC building for anyone Gen-Z and younger due to the popularity of both Teen Titans '03 & TTG.

Good news, everyone! Lego knows Superman exists!

Also, it’s kinda funny that there’s only one Superman set currently on shelves so they just have to have him fly around random Lego displays.

It’s mind boggling to me that we haven’t gotten a single Teen Titans set given how popular TTG was with Lego’s target age group. Titans Tower, the T-Car, and a brickbuilt Trigon would all make for fine sets. Instead, they just threw half of them in as hostages for Joker’s funland and called it a day.

I haven't been following the thread lately, but has anyone heard wether there will be a gift with purchase for Arkham Asylum. I'm assuming there won't be one, but just checking.
