Yeah from what I've been seeing they need 600-700 mil at the box office to turn a profit, which doesn't seem like a guarantee, especially given whatever's going on with the non-US box office.

I've lost all hope for slopsday being good and at this point, this is what I'm hoping for in the movie:

1. It's morbius level content, just absolutely painstakingly terrible (you know what? let's actually give the morbster a cameo), and everyone except the thunderbolts is just awful.

2. The "invincible avengers" team that's supposedly being put together is A: put together entirely offscreen to culminate the lack of setup for sam's samvengers, and B: evolves from just generally uninteresting to so outrageously unlikeable that people actively root for Doom.

3 (and this is the most important). Yelena and Ava apologize for bullying John into switching out his hat for that stupid beret and he puts his old helmet back on. (This isn't a meme, I legitimately hate the beret and now even if we get the thunderbolts in doomsday sets, John won't be accurate to Thunderbolts, which is the best non-nostalgia marvel movie since infinity war.)

 

Marvel has gone down hill so much that I'm happy with just seeing Tobey Maguire, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds and Robert Downey Jr interact, that's all I need

We have a Riddler and Catwoman leak. Both I think look amazing, might be my fav Riddler. Even without the mask I still really like Catwoman. Might just be me but they seem more like a pic from an official image - maybe a comic con reveal is gonna happen

LEGO Minecraft Goat on his story says he feels like we're going to be getting a Daily Planet set next year. 

I feel like if it happens, it will be like Oscorp instead of a modular.

Both look great, although I am disappointed Catwoman’s mask mold didn’t make a return. Only thing holding either of these figure back, from what I can tell.

Comic Con reveal would make a lot of sense.

LEGO DC IS BACK… to giving us all whiplash. This theme dies and resurrects more than Jean Gray.

If we do get the Daily Planet, regardless of whether it’s D2C or Oscorp styled, I expect Lex and Superman will be recycled and Supergirl will be included. Jimmy, Lois, and Clark are also probably safe bets as purist figures. Some new villains like Bizarro or returning villains like Zod, Brainaic, or Lobo would also be great. But I consider just getting a Daily Planet set a W.

Riddler and Catwoman look amazing. I feel like I will actually buy Arkham... I very rarely buy 100€+ sets, I only have a few, but I think I won't be able to refrain myself from buying this one.

And if we actually get a Daily Planet D2C next year... lord help me.

Agreed on Riddler and Catwoman, they look do great. The price of the old Catwoman cowl is not going to be great, but I don’t mind the printed cowl with the Black Panther ears. I think it works. 
 

I really hope that Daily Planet speculation is true. I feel as if it would be a no-brainer for an upcoming DC D2C, especially with all of the Super-characters in the forefront of DC. As much as I enjoyed the new movie, I do hope it is comic-based, as that also gives us more opportunities for new characters. 
 

As long as they take advantage of that opportunity *cough* Arkham *cough*!

From what I can tell, San Diego Comic Con will actually be this weekend (July 24th-27th)! 
 

A reveal there would not only be nice, but it could make sense given that the Riddler and Catwoman leaks look like they’re taken out of a box image and not in-hand minifigures.

It does look pretty good. Nice solid character selection, a decent Modular-compatible building, and a nice vehicle side build. I hope I can Bricklink the panel van (it's a really neat white panel van), but I haven't found the time yet to Bricklink hardly any of the other interesting side-build vehicles from large sets (e.g. the truck from the Cullen house), so it'll be better if I can get it separately on eBay or at B&M.

Looks really good, excited to see interior. Ivy and Riddler are definitely the best figs. I love Bane and Crocs face print, hopefully we see full figs released later in another set. Scarecrow looks weird without a hat. It’s nice to see the return of things like Joker’s Bang gun and the penguin builds

I'm curious to find out how many of these new minifigure prints will remain exclusive to Arkham

Ugh, I'm actually annoyed at how much I love Arkham. I was thinking I could skip it. The minifigs aren't phenomenal but the building itself makes this a must-have for me. There goes my budget for the rest of the year!
