I mean I think that's moreso because it's generally the A-lister heroes (Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther). We've had a couple for B-tier characters like Rocket and War Machine, but I'm not at all surprised that lego's internal research or whatever found that War Machine and Rocket mechs would sell better/made more sense than black widow or scarlet witch mechs. I don't think there's really much evidence for lego having some sort of bias against female heroes.

I don't mean that Lego is literally biased against them moreso that they've become incredibly risk averse of late within existing lines like Superheroes. And part of that includes less focus on girl characters because they've historically not sold as well.

Howdy!

Maybe Red Hood will show up in the Arkham set! It's been too long since they gave my boy a figure!

I've noticed that too. A shame it'd be Interesting to see them make a mech for Oracle. They've not made one that fits a wheelchair but that could work! Though now that they're doing 2 figs with the mechs there could give use BatFam members in Gotham rogue mechs!

Ivy mech Vs Nightwing

Twoface mech Vs Spoiler

Harley mech Vs Signal

Manbat mech V Batwing

Joker Mech V Red Hood

And so many more possibilities!!!! I wish they'd think 🤔 more like me!!!!

Our boi is asking Lego for a Red Hood minifigure in the year 2025.

LEGO becoming risk averse with almost everything superhero related after Endgame era is so annoying, they used to have fun and make comic book design inspired sets and now all they do is recycle the same junk. Pretty annoying.

No clue why they haven't made a Catwoman or Harley Quinn mech or something. I'd argue Harley Quinn was as popular as the big three at DC, seems like money lost on the table

I mean I get why we haven't had a catwoman mech, even if DC was getting the volume of sets marvel was- the vast majority of mechs are hero based- IIRC the only villain/anithero ones we've had have been Thanos, Venom, Goblin, and Ock, the latter two in two-packs with spider man mechs even.

Harley Quinn's more likely, as she is very popular, but you gotta consider that we JUST got a superman mech. We haven't even had a Joker or Wonder Woman mech yet.

I can exclusively confirm that Red Hood will be included in the asylum, and by that I mean a hood piece in dark red will be included on one of the Joker minifigures.

I’d seen a video on YouTube ealier today saying that Arkham Asylum has been cancelled or delayed, is this true? Or has it come from a reliable leaker

It came from a fairly reliable leaker but has been debunked by other leakers.

Best bet is to just assume no DC set is a guarantee until you’ve finished assembling it and have it safely locked in a vault where Lego can never take it away from you.

That’s partly true. Sure, Marvel has cut back on tie-in sets for new movie releases. But they’ve also been making sets for older movies. And we’re still getting comic based sets, arguably more so than we were getting during the Endgame era when only Spider-Man would get comic sets. This year we’ve gotten comic based Ultron, an Iron Man car, and will be getting a Hulk Monster Truck. Not to mention we’re still getting Spider-Man sets and will be seeing Anti-Venom and Mister Negative.

As for DC, yes the theme fell off a cliff around the time of Endgame, but that’s just a coincidence of 2018 being the last time a DC film was actually successful at the box office (outside of Batman).

Ahahahahahhahahahahah

We could have had peak new batman adventures batcave but no its batman forever

This is not what i meant by more comic/media accurate batmobiles, those 2 are the one exception (or two exceptions)

And then they'll charge the next stupidly high price for a forever batmobile- no buy

Oh and then they'll make arkham schumaccher based- ig i likely wasn't buying a 500usd set anyways

Comic cmf 2 or bust

$60 for the BTAS Batmobile was insane but $100 for a Batman Forever Batmobile?? Better include at least another vehicle and a ton of figures. No wonder this theme is dying.

Unless something changed I thought the rumor was a batcave. What's unfortunate is that $100 for a batmobile isn't INSANE considering we've gone from $30-$60 for more or less the same vehicle in the span of 5 years. (Inflation only brings that up to $37, too)

Certainly a bold choice to test out their most ridiculous Batmobile pricing on a set based on one of the least popular Batman adaptations, watch them omit Robin again lmao

Also, has anyone in Australia spotted the Superman Mech out in non-Lego stores? It seems like Big W, Target, and Kmart are stocking the 2025 sets for literally every theme except DC.

A Batmobile certainly makes more sense than a Batcave but at that price there’s got to be more. I haven’t watched the movie in ages so don’t remember what other vehicles are in it. Minifigs have to be Batman, Robin, Two-face and Riddler

First thought I had was a vehicle for Two-Face based on the car chase that occurs halfway through the film. Lego have done a similar set before with the 2012 Batmobile. Alternatively there's also the Batwing and Batboat from the end of the film but I think it makes more sense to pair those two together.

It’s probably going to be the Batmobile with a Batcave facade, like the new Civil War set.

I was actually looking forward to a 909 piece Batcave, even though it was based on Schumacher films, as it would still be a sizable location playset. Alas, t’was not to be.

It's the same set. Turns out it's not a Batcave after all.

was not expecting a large Batmobile,  but it does make sense considering Forever is 30 years since release. just hope we get a good selection of minifgs.

surley we get another DC set this year, besides the Arkham Asylum releasing in September.

really need the Gunn universe to start off strong for any chance of more sets next year!

So this years "Wave" when the Upcoming media was Superman and Peacemaker is;

Comic based Superman mech not based on the film
Dark Knight film Tumbler
another Batmobile from batman forever
another Batmobile 4+
Arkham Asylum based on BTAS/comic/legos own/batman forever/Video game

Is... is this a joke? A 100€ Batmobile? No way, there has to be something more.

LOL, and here I thought 70 euro would be the highest they'd go

If they made a 100$ Batfleck mobile and a warehouse for him to kill goons, count me in

Make damaged tattoo Joker and his car lol

The lack of anything Peacemaker isn’t surprising. Nor, I guess, is how badly Superman is getting snubbed here. But it is certainly disappointing because there really is no good reason for it. Not when Fantastic Four is still getting a set despite having possibly the worst track record of any live-action superhero series (even Howard the Duck found some redemption in his GotG cameos).
