The problem with this is most of DC’s most iconic moments either wouldn’t make great sets, aren’t age appropriate, or are from movies that are decades old.

Maybe if it was game for a good superhero like Flash or Superman I’d be interested. But Batman? Nobody cares about Batman.

I'm excited for the game. Not as much as I would be if it was a general DCverse setting and I think it really sucks it isn't, but I think this game will be fun in its own right.

I’m kinda indifferent about the game  Could be fun, but only having seven or so playable characters is a huge bummer. Sure, seven might still be a lot in comparison to other games, but for a LEGO game, that is laughably low. I’d also rather they stuck with each film as it was, instead of the strange amalgamation we ended up with

This increases our minifig variety next year from five Batmen… to six  Not sure whether to laugh or cry about the very real possibility that all of next year’s DC minifigs are Batmen. This was supposed to be a joke, not a prophecy!

That would actually be crazy thinking about it 😂 Not even a Joker, that’s when you know something is wrong. 
It also seems so weird as this year set them up perfectly, a new mould for Two-Face, a bunch of new villain prints that could be easily re-used. Even a new Superman and Lex.
A small 20th anniversary wave of a Batmobile, Batwing and Batcave with villains made from those parts would have made a lot of sense.

I guess there’s still a chance we get something towards the end of the year and those parts and prints will be available to be used for a few years as well

I thought we already did! Batman is his own best friend, the villainous colourful pieces are all hidden inside the Batmobiles, and the Batmobiles are locations too since the Batmen can easily live inside of them

Just a thought for a potential summer wave. What if they continued the “Speed Champions” line, but instead of Batmobiles, we got other Batman vehicles with that level of detail and attention. For example:

- The Batboat with West’s Batman

- The Batwing with Keaton’s Batman

- The Bat with Bale’s Batman

 

And, of course, if this Batmobile line continues, I would love to see Batmobiles based on Brave and the Bold and The Dark Knight Returns.

Looks like we will be getting a Joker minifigure next year with the book. Joker dressed as Batman, because Joker isn’t Batman enough.

I think this is technically our first Leto Joker minifigure. Even though Leto never actually wore the costume on screen.

2022 remains the only year of this theme (so far) without a Joker.

It's possible, but given that they call the subline "legendary batmobile collection", I think we'll get another few waves of batmobiles first.

And that they'll be in 2027. I think we're done for the year already, save a D2C or mech.

We kept joking about how even Joker is gone now but no, we've literally gotten to the point where we can only get joker when he's dressed as batman. You can't make this up. There's no joke you can make about the declining quality of the theme that lego isn't already trying to beat you to.

It's not necessarily leto joker. There are a number of batman-dressed-as-joker designs, including one used in the finale of a fairly major batman comic I want to say around a decade ago?

Actually not many people know this, but Joker was in 2022 if the The Batman sets released then in your region. In the batcave set there's a Joker minifigure dressed as Riddler.

Which honestly wouldn’t be that bad of a thing and kinda funny if we start getting Jokerised versions of Heros we haven’t had in a while.

No. We will get Jokerized Batman, Batmanized Joker, Jokerized Batmmanized Joker, and Batmanized Jokerized Batman and then the theme will end.
