I still want 108' connector. Quote

Ngoc Nguyen Posted February 19 Author Posted February 19 (edited) 42214 1135 pieces 179.99 EUR 42215 2359 pieces 399.99 EUR 18+ The demolition excavator is probably 42215. 42214 has the same price as 42176 Porsche and the former has 300 more pieces, so I guess it's another car that uses the new 2-in1 hub+motor. Maaboo the Witch Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Sounds like another nothing-burger of a year for this theme. Man, Technic is in the toilet. Quote

Auroralampinen Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Well i have started to thinking about the bronco since it has 943pcs compared to jeeps 665pcs maybe and hopefully lego is using in the bronco the same suspension as on the icons land rover and i hope the bronco don't have just 2 gears as in the jeep and the same suspension as in the jeep Quote

Where are : - bigger agriculture machines like 42054? - backhoe loader? - telehandler? In my opinion there are too many cars in the Technic line-up. Just sayin...;-) Where is old, good technic with various models in yearly line-up where everyone finds something for them?? Yeah, I know that cars sell good but.... Have a nice day to All of You :-) Edited February 19 by Malek83 Spelling Quote
MarkyMark42 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Being a car guy, I'm like "Yay more cars!" but I'm also like "I got nowhere to put them all" so in summary, even though I'm a car guy, a few less would be good just to save me money and a headache. Even though the construction/farming etc doesn't really interest me I do like to see what they come up with. Plus I do feel for all you guys that want more of those kind of sets Quote

More diverse line-up would be good move:-) Quote
Jockos Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Oh how I wished 42215 was a JCB Backhoe... maybe next year Quote

Hmm kind of uninspiring actually, as we had the 42144. 42146 and an excavator in the 42175. This seem super expensive again, even when it's all electric... Quote

Oh_Hi_Mao Posted February 19 Posted February 19 399 euros for 2300+ pieces... It is way less compared with 42146 679 euros. So perhaps only one Hub. On the other hand, Cat dozer had one hub but 1500 pieces more. I have mixed emotions about the 42215 Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted February 19 Author Posted February 19 For 399.99 EUR and 2300 pieces, I think there will be one hub and four motors, and they will be arranged in the format of 8043. One motor will be for switch, and the other 3 motors drive 6 functions. Quote
Jundis Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) 33 minutes ago, Ngoc Nguyen said: One motor will be for switch, and the other 3 motors drive 6 functions. Would be strange in my opinion. Switching from drive-mode (1 motor per track) to work-mode is maybe feasable. But for the action we would need: - turntable action - main boom - second stage boom - gripper actuation + maybe gripper tilt If this comes with a wrecking ball instead, it would be sufficient, but I wouldn't call it an excavator then... Edited February 19 by Jundis Quote
msk6003 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) Considering due to rotary catch with 2 motor can active 4 function I thought new excavator use rotary catch for function changer. Than we can have 4 motor, 1 for catch, 3 for max 12 function. And if this is real, it will be gear monster set after 42009 and 42082. Edited February 19 by msk6003 Quote

Oh_Hi_Mao Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) On the other hand, why it can't have two new hubs for 399 euros if one hub+900 parts is 179 euros (porsche)? 42146 initial price was 449 euros, but after delays it went up to 679 (size and rnd tax perhaps). Edited February 19 by Oh_Hi_Mao Quote
allanp Posted February 19 Posted February 19 The 400 euro price is quite encouraging to me. It's surely motorised for that price. At the same time, I don't see them doing something so similar to 42100, which is also a flagship, and not very old. I'm hopeful that this means there's something new coming, not a reheat of what we've already seen before, but something hopefully more authentic. Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted February 19 Author Posted February 19 6 minutes ago, Oh_Hi_Mao said: if one hub+900 parts is 179 euros (porsche)? Because the hub in the Porsche is actually 1 hub and 2 motors in one block. Since it's a dedicated hub for cars I'm not sure it will be used for an excavator, especially when its charging port is placed rather awkwardly. Quote
