zephyr1934 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 I like that RacingBrick showed it with the OE cars, an obvious pairing, especially with the tow ball attachment on the front of the F units Quote
CDM Posted Monday at 04:27 PM Posted Monday at 04:27 PM https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-11/5077/Lunar-Cargo-Train Looking forward to seeing where this goes in the refinement process. The designer claims it can run on standard track (in an elevated position?) but I'm not sure how that's possible with the skirting. I personally would purchase this as a display piece but, again, gotta see how it evolves, with price being a pretty big factor. Quote
LL1982 Posted Monday at 05:57 PM Posted Monday at 05:57 PM It looks wide enough maybe he tested it and the skirting stays outside the rails though track ballast may be an issue then? Based on the look this feels more like a monorail type of train. Or maybe on that rollercoaster track. I love classic space so it is a set I will keep my eye on. But part wise it's gonna cost a fair penny. Quote

Agree, it's unfortunate that the only CS set we get in BDP is looking very expensive, AND it has 8 stickers. "The train bogies can be used either in monorail mode to support the train on its monotrack display stand, or can be rotated to fit on standard train tracks displays! The main train is designed to house a powered up kit!" The "monorail" looks like it is just a half-pipe? Doesn't look to be the most stable display. The "bogies" are 4 wide, so will fit on regular Lego train track, but the designer description says "standard train tracks displays!" So, unclear this is intended to run on a loop. Makes it seem like the ability to add a motor is more of a gimmick. Don't really see myself getting one of these. Edited Tuesday at 10:50 AM by Space78 Quote
