The super jumper was arguably the best of the gimmicks as it solely consisted of adding a piece to a normal set. If you didn't want the gimmick you could simply discard the jumper and you were left with a totally normal set with no value difference. It almost feels unfair to count it- it's more of a power burst/power blast type thing.

Best in concept, sure. But it cracked minifigures legs so the execution clearly wasn’t there.

The Return of the Turtle King!

I have no idea what the image means, though.

It only makes sense to people who've found the fine line between genius and insanity and then crossed it just because they thought it would be fun.

Okay, so obviously the message in the first two cards is clear, he's announcing he's not going to be here for much longer, he knows what's coming but he wants the people here to stand together in his absence. Not sure about the third, maybe he just thinks it looks like Lex Luthor

Okay so we got the cards and cake, what's he trying to say

The Lex Luthor card suggests he wants us to steal 40 cakes.

And the stand together card means we share the cake.

And the outta here card means he needs to flee the scene of the crime. Grand theft pastry.

Too bad, you'll get an answer.

In addition to that, in most universes where Superman is either evil or just not around/relevant we see that Lex is generally a normal/good man if not actively the universe's premier hero. He's just such a top-tier hater that it's more important to him to hate on superman than literally anything else. He's like reverse flash, except his villainy is sometimes for some sort of philosophical reason instead of Thawne always having the pettiest possible rationale for dedicating his life to hurting or even inconveniencing Barry.

Is Lex known for his rizz, though?

(I’m speaking rhetorically, of course.)

I mean, he canonically had Superman’s child. Soooooo…

It’s great to be back folks. In a world of smart bricks and Bat/ clone dominance we need to have some jonkles.

Rats.
Comics get weird, man. :jollyroger: I think I’ll stick with more significant media… like, y’know, Venom: The Last Stance Dance or It’s Morbin’ Time: The Morbin’ Story of a Morbin’ Morbius Morbin’ Around in a Morbin’ Morb World—or this Aslume for that matter!

Y’know, though, if Lex could pull Lois away from a man literally declared to be made of steel… I’m sorry, but I don’t believe Syril stands a chance.

My respect for the Lex rises! It does fascinate me how characters that start out as simple can be grown into complex individuals in storytelling… granted, it took a couple presumably-short marriages (that in real life would cause his archenemy to question if Lois really loved him or not, then to take flights everywhere [like a bee] to think his relationship through, then crash into the side of a black box with a cutout of a bat, then fold it open to discover @Dolor’s wonderful brick-built cave inside, and then find a new purpose in fighting villainy via a mech as Soup) for Lex to arrive at that point.

Who knew a comic character could have such depth? Maybe we should see TLG try and tackle all the vast and rich characters of the DC universe? Just think of the possibilities for, say, a four-set wave in winter 2026? /s

What. My respect has been totally abased.
Why would Lex have a child only to give him away to his arch nemesis to raise to be the next generation of hero Lex hates? Is he stupid?

Stupid bricks in Batman logo confirmed?

I am disappointed this forum got zero references in the Arkham set. A sticker of a turtle was all we needed, but yet again DC fans and casual enthusiasts alike are disappointed. 0/1,000,000,000,000 stars.

To be fair Superman did make him bald, what choice did he have, the bald are innately evil

Captain Picard is bald, and he's not evil...

But isn’t Demolition Dummy bald?

It's in the eyebrows, and the body hair, they remind the bald of what they lost, those without don't have the same constant reminder of what they're without so can be good.

Also I don't know how much it counts a bald when you're plastic, famously we know LEGO Lex is a nice man being bullied by Superman in his mech, it could be the trend doesn't hold with the less fleshy but we'd need to conduct further studies to determine if it's an exact inverse
