I have watched The Penguin first three episodes. It is quality show. We could even get a set from that. The Penguin minifigure would be same. Sofia for example would be interesting figure to own. Marone and Falcone minifigures and "that driver".

Probably Iceberg Lounge is not going to happen. (Adults ONLY set perhaps).

We are not getting a The Penguin series set. :jollyroger:

Well, The Batman was dark enough. Why not The Penguin (HBO). We have that minifigure.

Because The Penguin is a brutal TV-MA gangster series made for HBO—four huge red flags for LEGO.

The Batman is a mildly-brutal PG-13 superhero movie.

This is a bit stupid question. Are you DC fan + Marvel fan? Or just DC.

I lean a bit more towards DC since their heroes are a bit more 'classic' and I've found their comics a bit easier to jump into, and I've found that too many of the MCU heroes end up being government/military/spec ops guys. (I do enjoy a secret identity) But overall I like plenty of stuff from both, and since a lot of creatives end up working for both companies, it wouldn't be worthwhile to limit yourself to just one.

@RiddlerDC I think you should give the Daredevil tv series a shot, it may be right up your alley. And then join the Marvel thread to lament the lack of sets.

The Batman was PG-13 while the Penguin is TV-MA, Lego has a rule against adapting stuff above a certain age rating.

If you wanted minifigs from the show, fortunately most of the characters like Sofia are normal looking people and so wouldn't be too hard to cobble together. (or is it Cobb together now?)

Why? ...just why? ? I can't even guess as to why Batman would need a Bat dump-truck of such massive proportions!

What you think of this idea: Lets try to debate LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes like adults

- What is the future of the theme (2025-2030) ...

- Is there possibility for another DC CMF-series ...

- Marvel gets one BIG set a year / what about DC ...

- Superman (2025) / what it will include (Krypto, Superman, mech, Lex Luthor) ...

…riddle me this, „Riddler“: If it writes like a turtle, forgets pronouns like a turtle, makes lists like a turtle, wishes for unrealistic sets like a turtle, posts YT links like a turtle, pits DC against Marvel like a turtle, uses bold and coloured text like a turtle, and begs like a turtle, is it a turtle?!

Why Marvel? Why not DC? 1 BIG set in a year? Like we got 2023 and 2024.

Lol did you watch last night's episode? If we weren't getting sets before, we certainly aren't now.

Okay, nevermind, it's 100% him, do we think he genuinely has come around to other DC heroes or is this part of his disguise

I feel that a fitting tribute to this forum would see the DCU Jimmy Olsen become a giant turtle man. The trouble is the source material in his case is a radio show, and I know he didn't turn into anything on that.

On another note having seen the CC trailer I think it's safe to say that no sets are forthcoming, which is a shame but completely understandable.

That‘s the one thing I dislike so far about the DCU: there will be a bunch of R/M-rated content, so a lot of characters will likely never get the minifig treatment :snicker: That of course doesn‘t affect the quality of the films or shows, but it‘ll for sure limit the options for LEGO sets!

In all fairness, we probably weren’t going to get sets for Creature Commandos, even if the series was PG. And Lego is clearly willing to work around the inappropriateness factor when they want to. Just look at Suicide Squad. Technically not R-rated, but Lego still avoided making sets for it presumably based on the title. But we still got most of the main characters sprinkled into sets that year. That’s not to mention we’ve gotten a Suicide Squad version of Harley and an Arkham series Batman snuck into sets.

I highly doubt it, but LEGO sets aren‘t likely in either case. We have yet to see a single set based on a streaming show that isn‘t on D+ or Netflix.

Best case scenario: we get a GL mech with Hal Jordan and John Stewart.
