If anyone here is from AUS, Kmart has the Jurassic sets (not bumpy) and Lego city jungle sets in some stores. Seen a few people online show pics, and my two locals have them too

stego set is $89

allo set is $129

Maybe if there wouldn´t be a new movie, then I could see some sets happening, though more like one or two sets but not a full wave. But with the new Movie in the cinemas most of the Sets will be about that one. We had 7 Sets for Jurassic World in 2015, 7 for Fallen Kingdom (+1 Polybag) in 2018 and 2022 for Fallen Kindom we had 10 (+one Polyback and the Jurassic Park T-Rex-Breakout). The other years we got 4 or 5 Sets (or none at all between the first and the second movie). So my guess for next year stands with 7 Sets fpr the new Movie (and likely one Polyback), one Fossil and one Chaos Theory Set.

Expand

Sounds likely, but since we have no idea what the next movie is about or what dinosaurs are in it, the next best thing is taking guesses of what other Chaos Theory sets they could make

If the new movie is pushed back (and so are the sets) to 2026, it might be smaller wave next year again. I mean e would see few sets based off Chaos Theory.

There is no point in speculating about 10th annivesary of Jurassic World movie (or the theme itself).

Obviously I'm just spitlballing here, and things could always change, but it doesn't look like there will be a delay for the film. At first things were s bit iffy with directors leaving and stuff, but casting looks to be going smoothly, and I think they're due to start filming in June (Google says filming dates are June 17th - October 28th). Actually, a report came out just now that indicates they may have already started filming last week. Nothing thus far seems like there would be a delay, but again, things could always change

With that, as far the sets next year, I think 1 fossil set and 1 model set are going to happen. The rest probably a mix of CT and the new film

Agreed. JWD was delayed due to the pandemic, and there‘s currently nothing to indicate that the upcoming film will end up getting postponed as well. Granted, the schedule is very ambitious, but I doubt Universal would announce a date if they didn‘t think they could make it

And if it does get delayed, we‘d have a very funny set line-up next year since now would be pretty much the last chance to come up with a replacement wave. If the delay is announced in autumn or winter, it‘d be too late by then.

Not sure if this thought was discussed already. Are there at least any rumors about Jurassic Park 2 sets with Mobile Lab set ?

They have to make one! It's such an iconic part... And we need a juvenile T-rex mold!

There were rumours about that exact set happening but it turned out to be based on Chaos theory. As for Sets for JP 2 I have hopes for that happening in 2027 when it has its 30th anniversary. Unless they make another movie that year.

I don’t think it was just rumors…. It might be misunderstood, mistaken or mistranslated.  Leaker thought it was T-rex with mobile vehcile but we got Allosaurus instead.

But yes 2027 would be likely for us to see 30th anniveary sets based on JP2.

Oh I see...

2027 sounds interesting but the question is - is JP2 that much of a cult movie to make a series of anniversary sets? Do people have a connection to that movie? I love it but I remember people not being interesting in 2 and 3 that much (i'd love to get a JP3-related Aviary set with Pteranodon in walking pose!!).

In other though - we finally got baby/teenage raptor molds. Baby triceratopses. They probably 100% gonna make a baby/teenage T-rex eventually and it was a huge part of JP2.

A teenage T-rex is always on my list. I feel like they would modify an Atricoratpor mold for teenage T-rex.

I do belive it is cult enough to make sets. I mean for me part one is still the best, but I like part 2 and 3 aswell. And well, they made the stego already and I don´t think kids will care that much if adults think it is cult enough anyways - so the real question should be if there are scenes to make good playsets of and IMO they exist - and we actually thought we would get them this year already.

I could see them doing 5 Sets for the Film same like they did with JP 1 last year.

JP2 had an insane amout of "playset-friendly" scenes.

The whole mobile command center reminds me of the same thing from the Agents theme. So kids will love it anyways...i think it could be the best playable JP "car" by kids standars if they make one. You can open it and pretend doctors fixing t-rex leg and etc.

However the price will be insane, haha. (2 buildable sections of mobile center with computers and medical equipment inside + Juvenile T-rex mold + at least 3-4 minifigures (2 doctors + Ian Malcolm have to be in it)) + at least 1 big T-rex figure.

I don't really see there being that much play value inside the mobile lab, unlike with that set from Agents, since I really only see there being some really basic lab stuff. However there is so much play value with recreating the scene of it hanging from that side of that cliff. It would be great if you could be able to have one section of the lab hanging, for that there would need to be a really strong connection, and I actually have ideas on how that can be achived using Technic parts. Also there would need to be a rope inside of the lab, as well as Eddie with his car with a hook to connect to the front of the mobile lab. That would be quite possible the best that it could be for me, since the TLW mobile lab has been my dream set since I don't even know how long.

The price might not even be insane(unless they actually make it a lot more then it should be, like they do sometimes now) 4 minifigures max(Ian, Nick, Sarah and Eddie were the only character in that scene). I don't really see there being that much detail in the lab itself, I could see it be less then 500 pieces with an about 200 piece car. So I could see it being a $100 - 130 set at most.

But JP2 really does how so many playset option: All the different Ingen vehicles, the Ingen base, The facility with the raptors and the San Diego chase. There is literally so many options to chase from.

They already do more or less kids aimed sets with a higher price range though. Great Hall from the new Hogwarts module, JPs Visitor Center just to name two. The thing is more that there will be maximum one set above 100€ I think and there would be various scenes they could choose for it.

The question is though, is that mobile command center iconic enough to get a big set and probably it is not. Nowhere near the Visitor Center for sure (and I would still wish to get a D2C Set for that one)

Yeah, there were no rumors about it, it was a misunderstanding.
We first heard them being called "Stego look out" and "T Rex trailer" and people just assumed this to be related to The Lost World, since both those set titles are similar scenes to TLW. Which IMO makes sense, even I assumed as much, I just didn't hype myself over it because honestly, I don't care about TLW as a film.
Then about a month or so later the proper set titles or descriptions were leaked, and that's when we learned it was an Allo. People just assumed the original poster who sids Stego and T. Rex either got LQ images, or wasn't quiet familiar with the JP Lego sets and mistook the Allo as T. Rex

It definitelly should be iconic enought, while the San Diego scene is the first thing that comes to mind when TLW is mentioned, I don't relly see it being above $100. Unless it would feature the ship, but that would be way too expensive, and the ship isn't that memorable.

The Mobile lab scene is perfect for an above $100 set. There aren't really any other scenes they could choose from that would fit that price point, while also being iconic for that.

The Lost World might not feel that iconic, but that is because how much the orignal film is. And I feel that it's well regarded by the fanbase, at least from what I saw, but just the regulal audience doesn't really care that much about it.

But either way we don't even have any rumors for TLW yet, so we will see about that when we would get some.

Question regarding 76965 and 76966. Are they, for some months, exclusive to LEGO and a single toystore/country?

For example, LEGO and Lekia "Sweden" have the above + 76965, for sale.

Webhallen, has 76962, for preorder "august" . But the other sets are not listed.

So, best to wait for a wider release?

Well, Ebrix has all 3, but costs quite a bit more than from LEGO. I suspect they ordered some sets from LEGO and sells those?

Another thought - the Chris Pratt Jurassic World trilogy is finished and we never got the Mosasaurus set.

That Avatar whale set kinda looks like what the Mosasaurus set might look like... (big creature with unique head-mold + sea exploring vehicle + a bit of terrain). But sadly they missed the opportunity with Fallen Kingdom movie sets (it has exact this type of scene where people exploring the remains of Indominus at the bottom of the moso tank)

Yeah, well that is the dream set i always figured TLG would make for Mosa, to have a future set about FK with the submarine, maybe a helicoptor, Indominus Rex's grave with some kelp and underwater foliage i think would work well for it. Buti would hope if they ever make Mosa that it sticks to the rest of the figures and is fully molded, but we'll have to see

They will all be avaiable everywhere where you usually buy Lego in August.

Black Falcon, cheers.

I'm mostly intested in the Dino's and some of the minifigs. But, cheaper to buy full sets, than go Bricklink. Especially when dino's usually are, very hard to find, to none, in the swedish sellers.

I can totally see another dinosaur missions set like a "Suchomimus Harbour Brawl" happening in the future. As for the Sucho itself, maybe a fatter version of the Baryonyx body could work

Yeah, it could be, Suchomimus would probably just get Indominus body, tail, legs and 2020 arms with a new head cause i believe it is bigger than Baryonyx.
