The entry came out very pleasing and there were quite some improvements according to suggestions.6267 Lagoon Lock-Up/Soldiers’ Tavern Remake by Aanchir - A very nicely designed set with keeping all the proportions and details from the original with smartly using the newer parts and colors as well as adding some great details. I must admit that the original set is not that nostalgic to me and maybe therefor just the brick built sail almost cost you the top 5!6271 Imperial Flagship Redux by Elephant Knight - The best ship of this competition in my eyes without any unneccesary complications that would make the ship look bulky or otherwise out of proportions. A clear remaster of an old classic and although a bit too similar to the orginal on closer inspection the more modern parts and techniques can clearly be seen.6278/6292 Enchanted Island Remake by Danny_Boy4 - Clearly my number one pick for this category! Very faithfull to the original and clearly remastered in the LEGO style. Also quite some changes were made according to the suggestions to make the set really stand out! If it was represented as a leak, it would of fooled me for sure!The Lost Lagoon by The Brick Stop - A great new set using the very classic style of the Islanders theme. It looks phenomenal and all the play features are also great. This is clearly how TLG would make a UCS or a 18+ set back in the good old days and I would drool over it until it got discontinued! Main category runners-up: 6269 Islander Palace by BrynnOfCastlegate - Another great new set in the classic islanders scheme. I think that quite some of us were asking ourselves if maybe we missed memorizing one of the sets from the past! And although I think that TLG might do it exactly like this, I think it feels a tad bit empty hee and there.6273 Rock Island Refuge Remake by CollinsAnimationStudio - The original was a beast and even choosing to remake this set in particular does half of the job. This entry beats the other of a same set remake by the more green in the rockwaork and the niceboxart presentation, though both look a bit unfinished at the top of the base.Short Pork Island by Yoggington - A wonderfull design with a more modern islanders approach. Maybe just a little bit over the border to pass as a real LEGO set with too parts intensive techniques and too dense details. Would love to see it take a chance on LEGO ideas or the bricklink designer program though! Mini category: 1464 Pirate Lookout Reborn by Elephant Knight - A wonderful remake which also upgrades the original for an actual lookout feel! It might look very simple yet you really need some feeling to put a few pieces together and make a great rockwork which is the base of the whole build. Also the author took advice and did some redesigns to make it come out even better!1872 Imperial Guard Camp Remake by thewatchman - This is a very interesting approach in the remake and I like it! It might seem that there was too much artistic freedom in it, but it just shows how much more is possible with the modern parts when LEGO used to just throw in a few pieces not knowing if it's a rock, a wall or a ruin. The statue is a nice build and because of everything added to it it's instantly recognizable.6232 Skeleton Crew Remake by Jack Sassy - Another simple yet very well designed remake of a small classic set that is not on top of everyone's memmory when it comes to classic Pirates. I really like the updated minifig design here using appropriate modern parts for an upgraded feel of that exact minifigure!Fortune Idol by Oky - The best entry of the contest in my opinion! A very nice statue design with a genius functional mechanism for excellent play feature. Just what LEGO is all about. And all thet with the piece count limit - priceless!King Kahuka's Outrigger Boat by kritch - This set is very nicely designed and especially unique. Everything from the choice of the vessel it represents to the execution and also the choice of the turtle stands out from every other set! Mini category runners-up: Hidden Cache by LetsBrick - Another great example of a unique build and a nice play feature idea. I can't really put my finger on it, but for the top 5 it just misses some charm? Maybe the minifig is too basic and the setting for presentation is a bit lacking too.Pirate gun cart revisited by Vdog - A very smart remake design of an unusual set using a lot of advice given. If only the unnecessary plates were skipped from the final version with maybe some better or none image editing for presentation ...Treasure Island by Oky - Very visually appealing set on the first glance. On closer inspection the palm tee is not one of my favorite designs and the minifig although great, uses some for Pirates inappropriate parts. Could have also been picked in the top 5, but I wanted to distribute my votes a bit.
