Bought and built the CLAAS Arion 660 set. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed. The build was a bit awkward and challenging in places, but not aggravating, and the finished model looks satisfyingly chunky and accurate.

Seriously cool.

I particularly like the flexible tubing used in the trailer; it's softer than the stuff used by TLG, kind of halfway between that and pneumatic tubes, which made it easy to position and insert. Would've been nice to have the bags numbered for the tractor and the trailer, but it's not a massive set so that wasn't much of an issue. Took me a while to build the trailer, though, since I was so satisfied with the tractor!

The RS6 will release on August 15th, so preordering a set from a retailer that will only have the set 2 months after launch seems kind of pointless.

Ok. Thanks for letting us know! I did check before on another listing from TWN and it also stated October 10th, so I found it plausible. I did get burnt last time when I pre-ordered from CaDA directly and it got a huge delay, so hopefully they learnt their lesson. Also, I think I would wait for the Halloween / Black Friday anyway.

After sitting on the fence for a long time I have finally purchased the orange AMG GT3. No stickers helped my choice as I found the Alfa Romeo F1 car stickers absolutely terrible quality.

Recently got it too. Haven't built it yet, saving it for when it's getting colder again. Seems like a challenging build.
1 upgrade I can highly recommend is a pneumatic pressure tank, that will allow you to lift the car in 1 smooth motion. I'll probably remove the big tank from the cart with the pump and make a custom big tank out of the functional pressure tank.

I've never tried CaDa before, coz i don't want too, But this Set got my attention,  maybe because it's Dark Blue(my fav color) 

So, who's ever made this , be ready for my Honest Review, including the quality of the Set 😄😄

Admittedly, the stickers are not the best part of a CADA build.

Can anyone help me understand the utilitarian differences between the grey top, white top, and black top battery boxes? Is it as simple as wireless connectivity or are there additional functional differences?

Grey Top vs. White Top (Rechargeable 2.4GHz Units)

Grey Top (Older Version / JV1010 800mAh): An older 2.4GHz rechargeable lithium receiver unit. It has lower current limits and can struggle or risk damage when running high-draw performance parts like dual CaDA Buggy motors under heavy loads.

White Top (Newer Version / Updated JV1010): An upgraded high-power rechargeable lithium receiver variant designed with better current handling. It is rated to stably power intensive setups like two CaDA Buggy motors simultaneously without constantly cutting power.

Black Top (AA Battery Box)

JV1005 AA Box: Unlike the lithium rechargeable white/grey top receivers, the standard black-topped version runs on 6 replaceable AA batteries (1.5V) rather than an integrated USB-rechargeable pack. It features a physical manual switch (left/right/off) rather than relying purely on a 2.4GHz remote link, serving as a traditional non-smart battery box for basic motors and lights.

Especially as sources tell me that CaDA is now shipping direct from warehouses in CZ and DE, so there's not even the delay of ordering from China anymore.

Thank you this is extremely helpful. These are for the PF compatible boxes I assume?

 

i guess where I'm confused is that the black top battery box I have is the JV1079, that came with @eric trax’s CLAAS Dominator. It IS rechargeable and connects to my phone. But it uses the proprietary plugs.

I thought CaDA was using colors to differentiate functionality and it would be the same for both lines, but clearly that’s not the case.

Right, those were all PF-type boxes. I did not have JV1079 in my hand yet. That one is indeed also a LiPo battery box for the new type of transparent connectors and USB-C charging connector. Then there is also the older white top version JV1077 with micro-USB connector. Pretty confusing I know.
