It took a while but my review of the C61508W set is now available. I've added a few tips. Enjoy :)

Wow! Congratulations @eric trax! This looks fabulous and is indeed a worthy flagship set. Next level stuff and thank god, not another boring car. When I first saw your MOCs I was in awe. Now thanks to your collaboration with Cada people like me will be able to build your brilliant sets and enjoy high level Technic building. Thanks!

Hope that AMG has all printed pieces and not stickers that cover multiple parts. @T Lego is this your set perhaps or another one of Bruno's creations?

It is neither Bruno's creation, nor mine. My upcoming model will be from a different German Brand.  It is designed by a young Chinese guy working at CaDa. Bruno and I had the opportunity to see it in person during our trip to Shenzhen last year and it is really something to look forward too!

I hope this is the start of more ag sets of this size. I've been waiting since i was 10....!

I wouldn't count on it. Producing such large sets from a narrow group is a big risk. They cost a lot and the demand for them if they are constantly on the market doesn't have to be big at all. I know that dealers are waiting for the Claas set and customers are asking about it all the time. Let's hope that sales will be good then there is a chance for more such products.

@eric trax I think this set is wonderful. I'm lover of Ag equipment and spent all my mocing time building tractors... and wondering why TLG have ignored this sector and just releases car after car after car. Finally here we have a genuine flagship in my favourite sector!!!

....

But on first viewing, this set is a definite purchase for me. Flagship ag set at last!!!

Thank you, guys. I did my best with the limitations of the official set. So far, the reviews and feedback from fans who have built it are very positive. Even better than I expected :)

And of course they skipped over the most interesting set, the JCB excavator :(

Beautiful set with a lot of attention to detail although i noticed that in the second pic the wheel seems to be touching the panels behind. Wonder if that will affect the motorization or if it will be a static set

Next cada 1:8 is mercedes AMG GT3.

With Barcelona being listed in the licenses i wonder if the Camp Nou will be the next stadium, definitely more iconic than the juve/man city stadiums

For me it looks like F1 set's front tire. Bruno conformed that tire can fit on 1:8 wheel on few pages ago

Again, some "bricks" in the grille. Why not make a grille from standard technics parts? For example, look at the grille of the TGL T5019 - it is made of thin 32250 and looks very good. The previous AMG C61503 IMHO turned out to be unsuccessful - the car drives equally poorly and "stands on the shelf". I assembled it from regular parts in red. The spoiler on rubber bands is terrible. The assembly itself is quite interesting, but because of the motors there is not much mechanics and everything works poorly. For those who want to assemble it themselves, I can please - unique parts from CADA JH6107 and JH6108 are used in most cases as 63869 and 10197.

Why limiting yourself by limiting to the use of one system. I have seen the prototype last year in Nuremberg and the prototype has looked good with them. You forget this is a licenced model, and building with licence makes it harder to fit the look. Using a piece which is nearly as thick than the original piece, is not ok when you are building 8 times smaller.

Maintaining the purity of style is also a style. IMHO, a mixed style in Lego does not always look good, even though both the system and the technics have parts made in the same size. IMHO, filling the voids in the technics with "brickwork" looks bad. If you need to make it close to the original, then the outer part of the model should be made entirely of bricks, and the frame can be technics. On the other hand, a mixed style is also a style and a matter of taste.

The grille of the new AMG clearly has non-technical details. About filling holes with bricks was not written directly about this model, although here too in the area of the wings they laid bricks well.

Opinions are like elbows, so here's mine:

These motorised 1:8 cars are scale models first, and technic/RC models second. They have to be, because the license-giver insists, as we're told above. That might mean custom panels like the AMG One, or it might mean using some system bricks as shown here. I'm not against either option, because let's be honest the 1:8 cars are too big to seriously drive regularly anyway. Doesn't matter how well you construct them, they can't go over about 5km/h, which isn't really much fun. And there's a pretty high risk of breaking CV joints, differentials, and even twisting axles in the end.

So. If you want good Technic play models and are OK with them taking liberties regarding the original looks, you can get that from Lego with 42166 or a bunch of other "because the stickers say that's what it is" licensed sets.

I completely agree with you on the issue of motorization of Technics 1:8 supercars. Although Chinese companies have released a bunch of such models over the past year, most of them, unlike CADA, have motors installed at the last stage of assembly and are easily removed if you want to put the supercar on the shelf. IMHO, the "playability" of these supercars is not in the motors, but in the mechanisms, interesting design and complexity of assembly, and in the end, you should get a beautiful model for the shelf. CADA has such a model that meets all these criteria - this is Fantasma C61048. If you want to drive around the apartment, then it is better to take (or assemble yourself) not Lego 42166, but CADA Arctic Cat C62006. And if you assemble it from what is on tires from a Ford F-150, then it will also drift fun.

1:8 cars are meant to sit pretty on shelves, enjoy complex building techniques and play with the functions every once in a while. Among all the gimmicky functions, i can see myself taking the car for a spin around the house more often than playing with manual fanctions/gearboxes. Unless you live in a mansion the speed is good enough to have some fun with it and put a smile on your face

The problem with these cars, apart from the sheer quantity of them, is the building experience of the bodywork is hideous and tedious. I've got one here and have build the chassis but all the bodywork bags are unopened and have been for 3 years. Its fiddly none-technic and a patience killer. Credit to anyone who can actually be arsed to spend time actually finishing the monotonous bloody things!

The absolute opposite is the bucket wheel excavator and the Cat D11. Wonderful building experience and a genuine technic model when finished.

But cars sell...just not to me!! They look pretty, but so what...

I'm very interested in that set. Looks to tick a lot of boxes..i know nothing about, so any info would be great.

In my opinion, the problem with cars, and Technic in general, is instead us fans. If you ask 100 fans what's a "proper" kind of set, you'll get 100 different answers.

It's impossible for CaDa, LEGO and practically any other manufacturer to please everyone's definition of "ideal", so they have to go with what pleases the most people, and the best metric to measure that is sales. If you, me, or any other fan doesn't like something it's simple: let your wallet vote towards what and how the manufacturer should make.

@efferman Thank's for the photos of the AMG GT3! But we want to see EVERYTHING! :D Do you have details about the other 2025 newcomers?

Nvm, there really wasn't anything more on display.
