They haven‘t worked with Amazon before, and personally I hope it stays that way. Amazon trying to turn 007 into a „MCU-style cinematic universe“ sounds absolutely terrible and I‘d rather TLG stay away from that lunacy

Yeah this looks bad for the Bond franchise.  Look at what Amazon has done to ROP and WOT.  I'm not looking forward to Bond going forward.

Since we are getting the Enterprise and a shuttlecraft, here are my (heavily reigned in) wishes for more Trek:

Prices are based off the Enterprise D

U.S.S. Defiant ($149.99): Late Seasons/First Contact Uniforms. Captain Benjamin Sisko, Major Kira Nerys, Lt. Commander Worf, Lt. Commander Jadzia Dax, Doctor Julian Bashir, Chief Miles O'Brien, Ensign Nog, Jake Sisko, Odo, Quark, Garak.

U.S.S. Rio Grande ($49.99 or GWP): Lieutenant Ezri Dax

Starfleet Officer Pack ($29.99): Transporter room, comes with phaser pistols, tricorders, and 2 type 3 phaser rifles. All uniforms are the early-DS9/Voyager/Generations style, with nondescript features for maximum customization. 2x Engineering/Security Officers (Human Male, Bolian), 1 Science Officer (Vulcan Female), 1 Command Officer (Andorian).

U.S.S. Voyager ($299.99): Captain Kathryn Janeway, Commander Chakotay, Lt. Commander Tuvok, Lieutenant Tom Paris, Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres, Ensign Harry Kim, The Doctor, Kes, Seven of Nine, Neelix.

And, until we can get the OG Enterprise:

U.S.S. Galileo ($79.99): Captain James T. Kirk, Commander Spock, Doctor Leonard McCoy, Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, 2x Red Shirts. In all their 60s glory.

In general I prefer unlicensed themes but I would like if Lego made a licensed themes based on the Prince of Thieves Robin Hood movie, Hornblower TV series or Sharpe TV series.

As much as there is no universe in which I will be able to afford any Star Trek sets, I want to see the Enterprise NX-01 with Captain Archer and his crew (including that dog who's name I forget).

Some bad guy ships (Borg Cube anyone?) would be neat as well.

Same. I love the NX-01 and company (and Porthos is best boy)

Borg Cube, D7 battlecruiser, Klingon Bird of Prey, Romulan Warbird, Cardassian Galor-class, not to mention the Xindi ships...if Lego wasn't concerned over a competitor for Star Wars, they could make bank with a fully fleshed out Star Trek line. Away teams, Shuttlecraft, Dioramas, aliens galore, and uniforms that change with the seasons, the possibilities are endless.

As much as I like Wallace and Gromit, Mr. Bean has my vote - hands down. I grew up watching the Mr. Bean TV show on VHS tape, then later the animated version on TV when I was older. And as a bonus, the Mini Cooper will go well with my collection of famous movie and TV cars if it wins!

The second part of the 90s voting on Ideas is open now! This was a tough one between Wallace & Gromit and Mr Bean, but ultimately I voted for the former. Fingers crossed!!

It looks like its going to be a close call between these two entries. They're definitely getting the most engagement out of the five submissions.

I'm not really a fan of Buffy getting a second entry though. Having two identical projects by the same author feels like its rigging the game here. It has its chance in the first round and it was up to the fans to decide whether it made it through or not. If it lost and they want to do the set anyway just get the license for it under Icons, but at least give the other projects a fair chance.

I picked the Mighty Ducks. I like Wallace and Grommit but I just don't feel a brick built motorcycle and characters does it for me.

Did those Dragon Ball rumours from back in January ever get any updates?

Not yet! I‘m still sceptical about that alleged leaker. Sure, he seemingly got One Piece right, but that might also have been a lucky guess or perhaps he had a good source :shrug_oh_well: I still think DBZ is a bit too violent for LEGO, but the original DB might work!

It would be kinda hilarious though to have Monkie Kid be replaced by a different adaptation of Journey to the West :laugh_hard:

I always assumed Monkie Kid was an audition for Dragon Ball.

You mean the way Adventurers was an audition for Indiana Jones? In that case I'd prefer to keep the audition and pass on the license.

Yes and...yes?

I prefer Johnny to Indy, but...well, I'd have to see how bad the DB sets would be in comparison to Monkie Kid. 😁

Hi, I believe a set based on the Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball Z property is a very real possibility. If you consider the LEGO group recently started accepting IDEAS submissions based on a range or anime franchises, including Dragon Ball Z. This is likely a marketing strategy to gauge how much attention these brands attract before purchasing the distribution rights. There are many incredible fan designed sets up there right now. My own included. So… if you are a fellow fan of the Z franchise and hope to see a set on shelves soon, get over there and show your support!

BTTF is allegedly making its return in the form of a Speed Champions set! :sweet: Finally a more accurate minifig-scale model! No offense to the Ideas set ^^

Great news, this was my ideal scenario ever since they started doing movie tie-ins for Speed Champions. I managed to get Doc Brown quite cheap a while ago when all the Lego Dimensions stuff was going on deep clearance, so it'll be nice to get Marty and the DeLorean as well.

Although, something I've noticed is that the movie Speed Champions minifigs tend to have sort of odd face detailing compared to other licensed themes, I can't quite put my finger on it.

Anyway, really glad they didn't lock BTTF behind some $300 'adults welcome' display piece.

G.I.Joe + Transformers. Continuing theme.

With the Energon Universe allegedly getting a well-deserved TV show, this is a very real possibility.

That said, given some of the events in the comics and Robert Kirkman being, well, the guy behind The Walking Dead and Invincible, it might not be something lego's comfortable making sets for. They could probably get away with a T rating if the show's primarily adapting his run on transformers, but even then, that one Starscream kill on a human will have to be toned down.

And either way, they'd have to use the lego fortnite treatment on the joes- a lot of the vehicles are fine, but Duke'd have to be out here with either comically large rocket launchers or, like, walkie-talkies to take out Cobra. Void Rivals would make some excellent sets, but it's also got the least name recognition, being a new IP.

I think Mega Brands has the G.I. Joe license, sadly.

I while I personally have no interest whatsoever in GI Joseph , and I don't really see Lego doing what is basically a modern military theme, I don't think mega is that much of a hurdle. Pokémon is coming after all.

This is understandable as you say you aren't interested whatsoever in it, but a pretty solid chunk of the Joe's stuff and pretty much ALL the Cobra stuff is impossible to mistake for real world military equipment. Nobody's rocking up to the middle east in the Triple T, a HISS Tank, etc. To say nothing of the Cobra mechs and robots. The most they'd have to do- especially if the sets were based on the leaked Energon Universe show- would be their fortnite strategy of the figs just conveniently not having guns.

Mega has a pretty good GI Joe Skystriker. I bought it without the Mega figs, but it works great with Lego figs.
