Do we even have a reveal date leaked yet? I mean aside from the leak from the greek shop, the HP leak we got now is the usual "short before reveal" leak, which is said to be tomorrow.

No. Just estimates that it will be mid may.

The shire last year:

Box leak - March 8th
Full reveal - March 25th
Release - April 2nd

So it was only revealed a week before the release!
(which I still think is crazy, and means another 3 weeks for Minas Tirith reveal)

I hope we get it before then, an official reveal with a few weeks to plan would be way better than last year.

Why still keep us waiting? It already unofficially leaked already, weeks ago.

To keep attention on May the 4th promotions and the summer playset reveals. Lego staggers their reveals to ensure they get as much solo attention as possible.

I do think things might come as early as next week with June 1 playset reveals happening today and tomorrow.

That is a bit different - March 25 is Tolkien Reading Day, and they wanted to lean into that. Barad-Dur was revealed on the 14th of May.

I find it hilarious when they don't reveal it and everything has been leaked...why bother with this charade as if most of the community hasn't already seen it?

I suspect that the majority of buyers won't follow leaks, and a big part of the reveal/release will be coordinating lots of marketing through more general interest channels that will reach more people. LEGO will have shared information with all of those channels and it will be ready to publish on the same date. Messing those media partners around with changing dates isn't worth it. Especially if they keep the same release schedule, so they can't include a but it here affiliate link. And I'm not talking LAN members here, but professional media that often cover these kinds of sets.

Sure, us hardcore fans have seen it, but casual fans and regular customers not so much

The reveal date is allegedly the 12th!

I'm assuming the GWP is also revealing tomorrow? Since we already got a pretty comprehensive leak of Minas Tirith, Grond is more interesting to me.

There was a leak that one of the orcs has a unique face print.

Yeah, it's a shame they're green and look pretty much exactly like the Barad Dur Orcs.

Would have been nice to get some Nougat or Dark Tan variants.
(I always associate the green with Moria Goblins)

We also didn't get a teaser like we did for the other sets, if the full reveal is today...

GROND is on Reddit. On the one hand it looks small and far less imposing than I might think, on the other hand, it's probably fine for minifigure scale and a GWP.

There is a swinging mechanism that is quite neat.

Two orcs, one olive green, one medium nougat, but only the head, as the body is covered in armor.

I'm actually a little underwhelmed by Grond. It's okay, but for 750 I expected Grond to be a little beefier, even if that makes it out of scale with minifigures. Not much bigger mind you, but it looks like he's on a diet. The orcs are nice.

It looks fine, and what I'd hope most GWP should look like. There doesn't appear to be anything unique or important that is not readily available so anyone can build something similar easily enough while it comes with the box that shall not be opened for those that need something exclusive.

Well this is some odd wolf; I thought Grond will be more in scale with the Minas Tirith walls perhaps even with an additional siege tower or something but this seems to be too big (?) for that. Hard to believe it's 300 pieces. Seems the GWPs are far less interesting than 3-4 years ago.

It's on Brickset!

Minas Tirith looks splendid; the idea to mix different scales works here really well. For 650€ there are just simply not enough figures, shame...

Rivendell is still best of the line, but this is a close second.
