So I've been having this problem for a few hours now, where LDD cannot seem to access the internet. My wifi is fine, as I can reach other sites just fine. I reinstalled the program and the issue still persists. Is something going wrong with LDD's servers, or is it something on my end?

I just got this same issue today...

I've also had the same issue today, so it's probably Lego's servers.

I've got a bad feeling about this.

Well...Look on the bright side.  If the servers are down, it might be for maintenance and that might mean a parts update.  Probably won't be, but I live in hopes.

I wish. I don't know what else it would be for other than this or them finally shutting the door on the program's updating.

After the outcry last time someone at lego mistakenly said that LDD was being abandoned?  They'll keep this running for years to come...

Maybe they are working on the servers and, as LDD is not supported yet (no vital service is suspended), they simply don't care if LDD remains some time without connection, it works anyway.

Frankly I'm not worried at the moment, let's wait for other news.

Yes, let the week-end pass. If it’s intentional and temporary, as you say, let’s let them finish. And if it’s not intentional, they’ll see the pulled plug on Monday or so.

Oh, I think a new version has been in the works since January, and this is the beginning of the roll-out of this new version.

And they did add two 2017 parts at some point, the corner headlight brick and a Ninjago helmet...

Only the brick with studs on 2 adjacent sides was added in 2017/2248.1, the helmet was already there.

One tiny part in 8 months (4 months after 4.3.10/2248, 4 months ago). But we can gloss and theorize about the 4 months intervals

Wait, really? That helmet would have to have been added earlier, which would put it before it actually appeared in any sets.

I know that has happened before, most recently with that Star Wars fin element and the 11M axle in the March 2016 update. I won't complain, but I wonder how this manages to occur that unreleased parts end up in LDD ahead of time.
