Technically Birds is taxonomically a Class (Aves), not a family like Canidae and Felidae. (You are also missing several, including the pigeon) A proper one to one comparison would be to compare all the Mammals to all the Birds (Reptiles and Amphibians are losing out any way you slice it). Nice to know. Of course, I forget about pigeon, flanking, titan, eagle, Modern birds are only suriviing dinosaurus after all. Quote
Lion King Posted Thursday at 03:40 PM Posted Thursday at 03:40 PM Out of curiosity, what kind of new bird speices you would like to see in CMF or City in future? We have s o many birds like pigeon, toucan, chicken, falcon, eagle, parrot, flamingo, dove, owl, penguin, ostrich. For me, I would love to see a liviing turkey and rooster molds. Quote

I’d love to have a crow. There’s an accessory-like one but it always seemed too small. The Dreamzzz one would work, if we ever get it colored and printed. I’d like a dodo, too, but I doubt that’ll happen any time soon 😅 Quote

Making it the size of the falcon from a few years ago would be much appreciated. A dodo on the other hand I won't say no to since we really need more prehistoric creatures that aren't dinosaurs Quote

I mean, think about the smallest bird, duckling, and the spiders and ants. Sure, decreasing its size would be best, but if they release it in black with a nice print, I’d gladly accept it. Quote

I think the only realistic route would be CMF, and if we look at the flamingo & toucan as multiple-moulded CMF one-offs, it’s certainly doable. I’ve suggested in the past that such a beastie could come with a generic (but totally meant to be Charles Darwin) Victorian Naturalist. Not dissimilar to the flamingo being both a real animal and/or a lawn ornament, a dodo could be a real life bird or a museum specimen. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted Thursday at 10:15 PM Posted Thursday at 10:15 PM The fly from CMF S29 won’t stay exclusive for long, as the printed tile will also appear in the upcoming Shrek set! Quote
Lion King Posted Friday at 12:10 AM Posted Friday at 12:10 AM I wonder if we will see flamingo and toucan again. But dodo, raven/crow, turkey, rooster woudl be amazing! As well as vulture. 1 hour ago, BrickBob Studpants said: The fly from CMF S29 won’t stay exclusive for long, as the printed tile will also appear in the upcoming Shrek set! Will fly show up on PAB?? You might be surprised. A full-grown raven can have a wingspan as big as five feet/1.5 meters. The real problem with the Dreamzzz raven, from a realism standpoint, is the transparent magenta edge to the feathers. Quote

Turkey, rooster, duck, goose & swan for the domestic / city settings: Updated parrot is long overdue. Perching eagle (and a ‘golden eagle’ specifically is long overdue too. Then the wishlist: woodpecker vulture dodo heron crane grouse/ptarmigan quetzal kiwi pelican booby/gannet kingfisher but my number one is most definitely a PUFFIN Quote

Very nice! While they aren't really "animal molds" I've been greatly enjoying the widening selection of insects printed on clear tiles—they're really cute and being a print instead of a mold allows them to be appropriately small.
