Those Stormtroopers are the best combination of parts. The best helmet plus the new legs is a great fit.

Stormtroopers with lazerswords!.. Why not? This is what the cylinders on their backs were initially supposed to be! After all, hunting lightsaber-wielding Jedi is much easier that way. Besides, it's quite a nice explanation for why their E-11s are designed for left-handed usage...

...So, you ask me, why didn't they use them in the OT? Well, because there was never a situation where the usage of those swords would've made sense. Sure, they may be helpful sometimes, but overall limited in usage. I also imagine them being somehow worse than lightsabers.

But, hey, it's just a joke theory I came up with (although I take it seriously...)

I know (I mentioned it in the beginning), but considering the fact that it's not canon (SW lore claims they are thermal detonators) it's more like a joke, albeit rooted in early development ideas...

I'm insanely late to this but thanks for that shout. Trying to cobble together a Mara for a film I want to make, and couldn't find a torso that looked quite right. I was using the Iden Versio torso with nougat arms but it looked off in a way I can't explain

BTW, the dark tan scarf piece (from the Dune set but also available on PAB) would look good for Mara Jade if you find a hairpiece that can accommodate it; the dark tan cape from the same set would also look good, though I believe it is only available through BrickLink (not on PAB).

I would suppose these legs are already too long to make your Darth Vader longer (and you would need to wash off the prints first), but has anyone tried?
I would love to see the result, and wouldn't bother to try it myself, because this fig is hard and expensive to acquire. But in case someone here happens to own this figure already? The figure is called Jack Skellington.

I didn't find anything on the Internet, so I tried myself, using Dr. Eggman's legs:

I don't think it's a good solution - Vader is too tall now for my taste. Besides , his helmet already makes him taller than the other minifigures. But if you still want to try, I suggest crafting a long cape and a long 'skirt' for a better look out of black paper.

I normally think of the helmet giving enough extra height, but it does make the proportions a bit weird. What might be a better bet would be to put 1x1 plates on his feet. That can sometimes make figs look like they're wearing platform shoes, but since it's all black I don't think it would be too noticeable.

It is. And minifigure proportions are weird by default. Vehicles in 'minifigure scale' are too small to fit even one fig! That's why I use 1/32 scale, which isn't even close

Most builders of minifig scale military aircraft use 1:35, and Cobi makes a lot of minifig scale military aircraft in 1:32. It's not even the largest plausible minifig scale either. 8w Speed Champions sets are minifig scale, and they're about 1:25. Some people like to set minifig scale at about 1:45. It's a very broad range, almost a factor of two!

What constitutes “Minifig-Scale” also depends on how Minifigs look beside the model and how they fit inside it - Some Speed Champions vehicles look too large because Minifigs seem short in comparison, while starfighters can feel too small simply because Minifigs’ unique proportions can be difficult to fit comfortably into a cockpit!

Right, the point is that minifig scale is a very flexible range even when you're talking about a true scale and not getting into playscale (ie Millennium Falcon playsets, etc).

Imo 1x1 plates under the feet of a minifig don't look good, even when legs and plates are black. A skirt, cape, armor or shoulder armor or even that small neck piece with a stud und one side are better to increase the height of a minifig.

I think it's time to show my upgraded Revel Scum minifigures! 

Here are my Tatooine Luke and Ben Kenobi:

The dark tan hairpiece and 2007 printed legs benefit the Luke minifigure from 75271 set greatly in my opinion. Printed Jedi legs are also useful for Ben from 75270.

Ideally, Ben would've looked nice with a paper coat, but his 2014 minifigure (with erased hood on the back of his torso, if he is wearing it at the moment) still looks much better than with the absolutely inaccurate cape.

Award ceremony Leia looks good with a paper cape and flesh-colored arms. To reflect Carrie Fisher's small height, I used a 4-plate high brick-built skirt.

I absolutely love the 2018 dual-molded Rebel pilot helmet - it works much better for Luke than the usual one. Other Rebel pilots (like Wedge Antilles pictured), however, probably look better with the traditional helmet.

Also here are two brick-built custom weapons - the Z-6 rotary blaster and Chewbacca's bowcaster:

The bowcaster looks almost perfect IMHO, except for the lack of butt...

Yeah it does, I mean the perfect option would be somewhere in-between that and the Boromir hair they usually give him but of the 2 I like this better.
