[PRESS RELEASE] Announcing 10254 Winter Holiday Train
brickdad46 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Town
So now we need the Lego community to come up with additional ideas for train cars to add to this train. Personally, I think it needs some passenger cars for the Minifigs. -

Add me to,the disappointed list. Just think about Morten, the poor schmuck who had to give the spiel about what a wonderful set this is. Seems like TLG is following the Hollywood trend and not coming up with new ideas. I have all the WV sets and may have to swallow hard to buy this one. If I do, I am thinking of building it backwards to make it somewhat different than the original. Boo to Lego.

Amazing, Wikipedia has everything. Thanks for the link.

I know this has to be somewhere but I can't find it. Is there a list of the modulars in the order of their release. I have all of them (heh, heh) and I want to organize them on a display.

Just curious, is there any talk in the Lego Group about a new mini modular set to continue for all of the more recent regular size modulars?

I like the idea of mirror building the two bonus sets. Was thinking the same thing if I get two of them. I am considering putting the long toy machine inside the workshop with the bonus sets making the back wall.

I have received and built both the Santa Workshop (10245) and the added set (40106). I am curious how the clever AFOLs are going to integrate these two sets because the bonus set does not seem to match the workshop walls. I suppose the bonus set could be used as a shed for the elves behind the workshop. Anyway, I am interested in ideas from the wisdom of the forum.

Thanks for the info. Saves me fumbling around.

I had a couple of gremlins at my house over the Thanksgiving holiday (2 1/2 and 4 years old). Besides the devistation to my holiday village that was left behind, they also figured out how to turn on the light bricks and leave them on. Needless to say, there isn't much left of the battery in the brick. So, the question is how easy or hard is it to replace the battery? And, where can I purchase a battery replacement?

I just finished building this set and am amazed at its complexity. Great build and gret looking set. Having said that, it looks like the designers have left the back of the booth with the ball game open so that it can be motorized. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for motorizing it or has actually made the mod. It seems to me that the motor would have to be small so that it doesn't distract from the beauty of the set. So, AFOLers, ideas?

I see lots of whining about no light brick. What about a big bonfire with a light brick in the middle? Would add some more flavor to the setting.

This looks like a very good way to light up the entire village. It appears to me after reading your instructions that no Lego bricks need to be modified. Is this correct? Also, where can the kit be purchased? And do you include printed instructions because your pictures were not clear when I tried to magnify the screen image.
