REVIEW: 75222 Betrayal at Cloud City

Great review! Unfortunately for me I feel like this set is rather underwhelming. I was expecting many more play features, but even then most of the ones included are simply opening doors. There's also more empty/bare space than I would've liked. I genuinely feel like the strongest aspect of this set besides the minifigures is the nostalgia, but that comes from the original Cloud City set.
  2. Anyone know if any statistics can be found in terms of how well the current 2018 summer sets are selling? I heard rumors that some of them are selling poorly but have found no source on this?

Is there any way to remove the top to have more room for messing around with the interior? I don't think two small flaps is enough, but either way the set is still awesome.

Wow those pics look awesome! But why did they make the AAT so small compared to the troop transport sets?

Haven't the pictures been revealed for a while, I saw them in the 2014 thread a little more than a month ago :/ It looks fantastic nonetheless, everything about it looks so cool!

    The comparison topic

Thanks for the great pictures It seems that there is a substantial difference in size, yet IIRC the original SD only had about 5 more pieces than the new one. I can't wait for your upcoming review.

"Impressive, most impressive" Sorry to bother you, but can you take a picture of the system sets 2006 SD and 2014 SD together? I want to see the size difference.

Well I've been out for a while so I apologize in advance if you guys have already discussed what I'm about to ask. 1. That AAT is rather tiny, looks like they couldn't decide on making it a microfighter or a system set, so they went with both. 2. Why are they making a CW set in a time like this? I'm not mad about it, in fact, I'm really glad they made a CW set from the original Clone Wars series and not from the CGI one, but still it's rather anomalous that they chose to make a CW set at a time where should be releasing a lot of Rebels sets followed by episode 7 sets.

What is Your Favorite Lego Star Wars Year?

IMO the Golden Age of SW was 2004-2008. 2012 was amazing too, but due to the high prices I wouldn't consider it the best year.

This is the first set where I actually gazed upon a set going "Woooooooaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!" Such a beauty she is. Forget the Cloud City Boba, just imagine how much the Boba Fett in this set will be worth in ten years from now.

[MOC] Proxy's Advanced Mos Eisley Cantina

What a much better variation of the Cantina compared to the official version. I'd love seeing your Jabba's Palace advancements as well.

Well looks like I'm a little late to the party but reading about the prelims of the new sets is sure a blast. Thanks for answering the questions Hulk_Smash, it's awesome how the new T-16 Skyhopper will have a Tuskin Raider included. Sorry to bother you but I have a question myself: Does the Geonosis battle pack have anything in it that resembles the environment of Geonosis? Because it seems like it's another Clone Trooper army builder.

I don't own either, but personally I find the Sandcrawler to be a better set. IMO it has better figures, more interesting design and functions, and overall feels like you get a lot more out of your money compared to the Executor. But it really matters based off what you want it for. You want it for display and for photos, so really either one is a good set for you to get, so really it comes down to personal preferance, but I think the Sandcrawler is a much cooler in just about every way. Your English is actually pretty good by the way.

I doubt it, with all the rebels and Episode 7 sets going to be released in the next few years I'm sure the few other sets will be from the Saga.

Palace is a much better set, it has a lot more minifigures and play functions, and much more accurate to the palace than the barge is to its movie appearance. Plus the Rancor looks awesome.
