  1. *** In the mystical realm of Thyndros, the Wizard of Light and the Wizard of Dark were once brothers, bound by blood and magic. Their harmony shattered when the Wizard of Dark, seduced by the whispers of an ancient evil, sought to harness forbidden spells to dominate the world. The Wizard of Light, devoted to preserving peace, opposed his brother's dark ambitions. This clash of ideals sparked a war that tore the land apart. The black dragon, Valkhoros, was summoned by the Wizard of Dark from the depths of the Abyss. With eyes that glowed like molten lava and wings that blotted out the sun, Valkhoros became the harbinger of doom, spreading fear and destruction in the name of his dark master. *** Hello, the dragon is back! A few improvements have been made from the previous series, such as a modified tree with a bit more of a fantasy feel and a more fitting colour scheme, and the underside of the wings have been given a red support to make the dragon a bit more interesting. You can support it in the Bricklink Designer Program Series 7 by voting and commenting: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-7/2514/Dragon-Attack My love for the dark creatures of fantasy movies inspired me to design a black dragon to Bricklink Designer Program Series. It is not actually based on an existing character, I studied some cool AI generated pictures and some cool dragon head builds, but I built something brand new. My intent was to create a poseable animal instead of a static statue and added a small tower and two wizards to the set for more playability options. The Wizard of Light has a staff and a crystal ball. The rear of the tower is removable to make the interior space accessible, and the door works as well. I prefer the brick built solutions to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, and therefore only two stickes are used for the dragon eyes and they are based on the printed part 98138pb386 which is not available in this series. Dimensions of the dragon (as it is shown on the main picture): Width: 71.0 studs / 22.4 in / 56.8 cm Length: 67.5 studs / 21.3 in / 54.0 cm Height: 44.8 studs / 14.1 in / 35.8 cm Some rotation joints can only be stable in certain positions, for example the tail end must rest on the ground. I hope you enjoy this set. Many thanks for your support and feedback! Thank for visiting, _TLG_
  2. Hello, the dragon is back, and this is its final chance to be selected as a finalist in the BDP Series! To highlight the dragon as the set's centerpiece, I cut the tower and white wizard, significantly reducing the element count. 3. So this is my first ever creation in Studio.io only possible due to lockdown and my kids isolating with my parents to let me carry on working leaving me with a lot of evenings free :(. So I put that frustration into something creative and came out with this: https://ideas.lego.com/s/p:6aa026811480406bb23ff3ce22bb9e58?s=m The Inn is frankly enormous consisting of the limit of 3k parts, I started with trying to build a farm house and basically ended up just spiralling down a rabbit hole of ideas until I ended up with this. I'm still working on it here and there, the front and back of the roof ends have changed since it was submitted and I clawed back some parts to put a few more details inside the top floors. I've also been buying parts to build as much as I can of it myself. Anyway I hope you like it, also open to discussions on thoughts for improvements or criticism (though please keep it constructive :)) Tavern image 1 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 11 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 2 by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 9 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 4 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 5 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 7 by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 8 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image-1st floor by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 6 (Large) by maxxev, on Flickr Tavern image 10 by maxxev, on Flickr This is where I am so far IRL 20210310_204329 by maxxev, on Flickr
  4. Here is my latest build for the Robin Hood display I'm working on. I still have to post Nottingham Castle, the medieval windmill, and medieval blacksmith shop plus build Sherwoods Forest. If you like this model or my Medieval Watermill please support the ideas here: Medieval Cottage https://ideas.lego.com/projects/170226 Medieval Watermill https://ideas.lego.com/projects/159800 Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks for your support and let me know if anybody needs me to vote for their projects! Life was not always easy in Lego medieval times especially for this family who were once peasants. They used to live in a one-room house made of straw, sticks and mud which they shared with their animals. Until one day, Hagrid the man of the house decided he was going to free his wife and son from a life of great hardships. This was not easy but Hagrid convinced his master to let him fight in a local tournament for a share of the prize. Hagrid managed to win the tournament against the overwhelming odds and moved his social status overnight. He no longer worked for his master and earned a life as a nobleman for the King. The family was awarded land and built a two-story cottage made of stone and half timbers. 5. ARg! Sorry I should have put [MOC] at the front of the Topic Title, but I cannot figure out how to change the title now that it is sumbitted. If someone can tell me how I would be very appreciative. I have been thinking of doing this project for years. But I was always too busy and could not quite figure out how it would work. Trying to cram a lot of curvy color into a Lego build can be pretty daunting. And then on top of that, making it as complex and "Modular style" on the inside as possible. I had a real blocker though. I wanted one of the figures to have a Lute...how do you build a Lute in Lego. Well, this kept just taking up brain space, kept distracting me. So I finally brought it up with my friend Alatariel. We turned it into a personal Iron Builder challenge. And that really just broke ope the dam. Even the Lute itself, just 3 elements was a collaboration that brought out the best of our styles. All in all this is probably one of my favorite personal builds. I keep working on the Cabinet though...cramming that much detail into such a tight space is a real challenge. The dimension of the bed worked out perfectly though and the dead space under it really allowed me to add a lot of detail on the back. Getting that ring in the middle of the "diamond" takes up a LOT of real-estate. This last piece is a "zoom in" on the Lute. If you are familiar with Patrick Rothfuss and his Kingkiller Chronicle series of books, well, this is where I got the idea for building a Vardo. They are real things. But reading the books is what got me wanting to build one. The guy on the Left is a "portrait" of the Author that I figure fans might get a kick out of.
