LEGO Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 SLT With Nooteboom MCO 121 by Jaap Kroon, on Flickr LEGO Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 SLT With Nooteboom MCO 121 by Jaap Kroon, on Flickr After years making prototypes of steered trailers, we, JaapTechnic and LiftingBricks, finally made it to create a system to make a semi trailer with automated steering axles. This system uses the angular displacement of the fifth wheel to steer the axles. This all happens with pure LEGO powerfunctions. In the following video you can watch this system in action. In the video are the following models presented: Nooteboom MCO 121 semi trailer Mercedes-Benz Actros 4160 SLT Volkswagen Transporter T5 escort van Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 build by LiftingBricks For the Nooteboom and Mercedes are building instructions available. 4. Hey Ladies and Gentlemen, at this point i can't hold myself back and present to you my new project. This is a VW T3 Flatbed. The features i've implemented so far are 4 wheel drive with full suspension on all wheels. The whole thing is driven at this moment by two XL-motors. It has already mounted a 4 cylinder Boxer engine just like the real one, which isn't connected to the drivetrain at this point in construction though. For the headlights i've used the orininal Lego PF LEDs but the taillights are soldered 5mm LEDs because i haven't got more of the original ones and they are a bit to expensive for me. Steering is realized via one Servomotor. Hope you enjoy it and if there is a good idea just say it. Rolf
  5. In this thread, I will share my experiences (and sometimes struggle) for finding and buying the bricks for building the Volkswagen Beetle 10187. At Bricklink, this set is available starting at 450 euro's (used) or about 600 euro's for a new one. It is a challenge to find and buy the separate bricks and have it cheaper than a used set. If there are particular questions, please let me know. More to come later. /Hans

  7. Hello The two classics from Volkswagen: Camper and Beetle All Details on MOCpages Which one would you choose? Jonas.
  8. Hello folks! Few weeks ago I presented my version of the VW T1: the canvas covered pick-up for Volkswagen Service. Now I show you my last MOC, an Oldtimer workshop for Volkswagen "Bulli family". The right place for my T1 (and not only...). Here some pictures: In order to build the internal of the workshop I watched my real garage where I used to spend a lot of time restoring and repairing old motorcycles and bicycles. There are many tools and details in the workshop. [ Last winter I spent many nights to build this workshop and I'm very satisfied with this MOC. Soon probably others Transporter will be recovered in this garage… For more pictures, details and informations: flickr MOCpages
  9. MOC: MINIFIG-SCALE VW CAMEPERVAN. Topic includes Incredibly silly backstory. Caution: May contain nutters. After being sold by an american billionare, this VW Campervan found it's way to a small auction house in a small town called Mayhead City, where it was "accidentally" bought by Dave (the guy on the right) for the grand sum of £20,000. Dave, being Dave, said he didn't have this kind of money just lying around the house, and ended up having to sell his own home to pay for the campervan and avoid being taken to court by the auction house. With no place to live, Dave decided after trying to sleep in the campervan to phone his only friend Jay (the guy on the right), a calm and cautious brickfilmer, and ask beg him to stay at his house for 'a bit'. After 16 whole minutes, Jay reluctantly let Dave stay there with him as long as he replaced the VW logo on the front of the campervan with the Imperial Crest from Star Wars and stopped playing the guitar badly (Dave always thought that he was the plastic incarnation of Jimi Hendrix, but he was in fact the opposite). Two weeks after Dave moved in, this happened in the middle of Mayhead City: After this incident, Dave's guitar 'mysteriously' disappeared from their house, and no-one (except the bin-men) know about it's true whereabouts. Some more pictures of the actual model (Finally!): Without minifigs: Side View: Front View: Back View: Thanks for looking!
  10. This MOC was done by my wife (anabanana) for the contest. She asked me to public this on EB. She will be glad to read your comments. Year 1967 United States under pressure after the Vietnam War. Young couple Judith and Ray travels everywhere on their painted minibus "Volkswagen» (T1 Sumba bus). They are making friends and discovering new cities. The world for them is limitless! Especially because they have their own ... blimp! They deliberately rejected the choice of their fellow students of the Purdue University in Indiana to work for military defense. Instead, they decided to build an airship and go by it, bringing peace to the world. And what should it be? Of course freight! After all, where they can go without their "Volkswagen"? It would be great to control the airship from the bus then the gondola is not necessary. Judith and Ray found many like-minded people, and together airship rose skyward. This cargo airship can lift Judith, Ray and their minivan. The balloon has 4 stabilizers and two propellers. The platform is attached to the four beams that are connected in pairs holding tank with two black wide wire ropes. And there's an interesting feature: the minivan on the flight becomes cockpit. Ray made the controls of Volkswagen to be the controls of the airship by the radio waves.
