  1. Because everyone's very friendly and their input to my MOCs helps me improve them. And I have too much time... ;-)
  2. Thanks for the feedback, guys! I'm working on Judge Turpin's Masquerade Ball now, from the song "Poor Thing". It'll be small, though. Just a vig. ;-)
  3. :-D Funny! *y* Happy Birthday! *sweet*
  4. Thanks! The stair case is constructed of chairs, with 1 x 2 bricks of the back. The rails rest within the stairs, so to speak. It's fairly delicate, though. And thanks for those *y* 's Beckett. (Not Lord Beckett ;-) :-P )
  5. Hey! I've finally finished Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Shoppe and Sweeney Todd's Barber Shop MOC. This is the complete MOC building. There are many features, including a detailed exterior as well as an interior, which is a first for me. Much of the building is SNOT (studs not on top ;-) ), including the windows, and some of the exterior's detail. The decal ("Meat pies, Mrs. Lovett's, Meat pies") is regular old printer paper. The stair case of the back of the building is comstructed of chairs. The interiors aren't too special, but I'm happy with how it came out. Here's the only pic of the actual building I could find, if anyone else has better pics, please post em'! *sweet* Interior with customers: Interior; empty: Barber Shop Interior: Stairs: "BENJAMIN BARKER!" Benjamin Barker, or should I say "Sweeney-a Todd" Well, thanks for looking and feedback's really appreciated! *sweet* Thanks so much! :-)
  6. My input: Best: Indy. Hands down. :-P Worst: Batman Henchman. Yes, aliens were horrible, but those henchmen...so plain! *n* My opinon. Great poll idea, BTW! ;-)
  7. Thanks for the feedback! Here are the figures from the movie, as well as some teaser pics of Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Shop (Still a WIP) Teasers: "At last....my arm is complete again!" Stairs (made from chairs!) Todd and Lovett: Beadle Bamford and Judge Turpin: Adolfo Pirelli and Tobias: 1800's London Citizens: Beggar (tried my best w/ the bonnet X-D ) Anthony and Johanna: Any suggestions for the figs are appreciated! *sweet*
  8. More creator? :-| I like the first one, not like I'd buy it, and the second one is the ugliest thing I've seen since that CITY passenger plane! I liked the spider, though. I bought him and I'm happy with that, but I don't like creator much....no minifigures! :-D
  9. :-D Not really. ;-) Also forgot: I bought Camelon Hunter, Dark Panter, Sotrm Lasher. I don't realy care for Exo-Force, but I thought I'd try something new. New packaging design also caught my eye.... *y*
  10. Anikan, Anikan, Anikan! Take THAT society! :-P
  11. Trust me. It's a tiny card, only holds 6 pics within the res. at the smallest. I have a Curcuit City gift card from Christmas anyway. :-P
  12. No, I meant the one in Burlington, MA. It's the closest one. ;-) I bought Anikan's Jedi Starfighter. New Hair sculpt ON! *wub*
  13. :-D Great MOC, and nice captions. ;-) Nice Sinner figure, too! :-D
  14. *wub* Nice! Love techniques like that! Probably good for figureheads... *wub*
  15. Hmmm... good question: LEGO: Many new sets, some good, some horrible Many MOCs :-D My acceptance to Builder's Lounge Customization of minifigures commenced Non-LEGO: Nothing special, really, but toward the beginning of the year, even into the end of 06', my brother was in the hospital for weeks and weeks, on and off. Quacks couldn't get it right! |-/ I think he;s OK now. ;-) That's about it, pretty quiet overall.
  16. Thanks Capn'! As for the progress of Mrs. Lovett's Meat Pie Shoppe: it is coming along nicely. I'm actually putting in an interior (I think) which is really a first for me. It's very detailed (the exterior), so I hope the overall structure isn't too big in scale to the minifigures. 8-| It may end up a tad to big, but it'll still look OK. The whole thing is actually one big SNOT, from the SNOTy windows, to the brick work, and the carvings. :-D Should be done within the week. But I can't photograph it til' I get a bigger memory card for my camera. After the shoppe is done, I make do Pirelli's Wagon. Maybe. :-P
  17. Thanks for the reveiw on this great set! I actually just came home from TRU with this, maybe 1/2 hour ago! Funny! Love the new hair sculpt! *wub*
  18. Frankly, I was very excited about Aquaraiders when they first came out. I bought em' all. But now... eh, I personally don't care for the line. I think LEGO should focus on other lines of their own creation, like Agents, etc, and develop more of their own lines like this one. They should release the original Aquaraiders as legends..... ;-)
  19. Thanks! (Basic summary; I don't think there are any spoilers... ;-) ) The story was originally a broadway musical, and it was very popular. So Burton decided to make it into a movie. Basically, it is about a barber who has a great life, and a beautiful wife. Judge Turpin likes the barbers wife, so he sends the barber to prison for life. Somehow, he escapes and he is angry at the world and is out for revenge. Mrs. Lovett is the owner of a pie shop in London. Her pies are disgusting. So Sweeney Todd decideds to cut his customer's throats and turn their bodies into meat pies, so Mrs. Lovett's buisness will pick up. But of course, nobody knows that they're eating human flesh. :-D There is some humor, and there is no more than a couple of minutes between songs. It's very good, yet bloody, and is not for the squemish, as it is rated R.
  20. Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm certainly taking your suggestions into consideration, especially now as I'm working on the shop... Funny that you say that! After I photographed it, I switched the Tom Riddle head with the Vader's Apprentice head from the Rogue Shadow, and it looks great! I'm not sure if I'll keep him the only fleshie, or make all my figs fleshies....
  21. Here's to a successful 2008! Happy New Year! *sweet*
  22. The Sweeney Todd Soundtrack, of course! *y*
  23. Happy Birthday both of you! *y*
  24. Norrington: I got the soundtrack w/ booklet. Serves as good reference + it has the lyrics! :-D And those decals look awesome! I'll probably use them when I finish with Mrs. Lovett's Pie Shop. I'm working on it now, it should be down within next week sometime. I'm puttin' a lot of effort and detail into it, and I hope to give it an interior too! X-D
  25. Thank you for the kind words everyone! *sweet* Thanks ~ it's a Canon g9 Powershot. @Norrington: I've bought the soundtrack too! (I also just came home from Borders with the book on production, etc. It will serve as reference as I plan to make the shop as well as Pirelli's 'Wagon') X-D
