  1. Why don't you show us a few of these secrets you claim are here, director, and we can decide if you're legit. Or at least answer a few of Simmons' questions.
  2. I'm just sayin' that we shouldn't trust this guy blindly. I'm willin' to hear what he has to say.
  3. No offense, director, but how do we know we can trust you? Are we just supposed ta take your word that Stanley's nuts? How do we know you didn't kill Agent Howard? For all we know, you could be one of the commies we're looking for. I would like to search the body for ID or notes he might have had.
  4. I don't think we should follow mysterious notes blindly. At least until we can see if the handwritin' matches any other notes so we ca at least get a feel for how reliable the information is. Someone could be leadin' us astray to keep us from findin' anythin' useful. When I said note in the earlier post I did mean the "Hills" note to compare with the other notes. While we're comparing things, though, I would like to compare the note found on the roof with the boxes to the other notes a well. We did collect all the handwriting samples so far, right? I would also like compare the samples with all of our notes gathered so far to see if any of our company wrote any of them. If the task requires help, I'll gladly ask for it from everyone.
  5. I would like to compare the note with all the other notes found so far to see if the handwriting matches any of them.
  6. To get things moving, I say we go to the Lakota as well.
  7. "Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum, I smell Rebel Scum!" Four stormtroopers defend the empire with a distinct advantage.
  8. I don't care which place we go but we'd better get a move on. Can't stand around on this roof all day when we've got commies to find. Not that we've really found anythin' in all of our investigations that has really helped us all that much. You'd think that as thoroughly as we've searched, we'd 've found somethin' helpful by now.
  9. So you can speak english but can't write it? Where exactly are you from again?
  10. I'll give a sample of my handwritin', too. Will the Inspector be back today? As far as him wearin' a vest, I don't think that proves anythin' about his loyalty. I'm still convinced that we have at least two vigilantes and that we did not see the commies strike. Could this gold and money come from what we found in the attic of the town hall? Also I would like to ask General Stanley how many other investigations Matt has done and if any of them were successful. And I'd like to check something with the mayor.
  11. +1 to The_Customizer +1 to WhiteFang Thanks guys for the wonderful trades!
  12. Is it possible there are two vigilantes now after the empowerin' from General Stanley? Neither of 'em used knives and it seemed to me that the commie killer used knives. It also bothers me that the inspector was shot twice. Could two killers have gotten him? If anyone wants to talk in private, I'll be thinkin' this over for a while. Are we ever going to know the allegiance of our fallen neighbors?
  13. There is definitely no need to apologize. Do what you have to do, Bob, and we'll be praying for you and your family.
  14. I will join the others on the roof. Are the boxes in the corner dry or do they look like they were here during that rainstorm we had a few days back?
  15. I would like to check to see if any of Mr. Ackerson's shoes in his apartment or that he's wearing match the footprints made in the empty apartment.
  16. Missing Minifig: Elf Not satisfied with the competition for vanquishing the most foes during the battle for Helm's Deep, Gimli challenges Legolas to a drinking game.
  17. I would like to look through Ackerson's bathroom cabinets.
  18. Congratulations to all the winners and to Hinck and friends for running a great contest! I was truly amazed by all of the entries. Everyone seemed to give this one their all and submitted some dazzling work.
  19. That should be italicized. Sorry.
  20. I can't express how deeply relieved I am that Brenda is okay. Can you take her this copy of the Bard's Sonnets? I read them to her on our date. I know they'll make her feel better. Did she happen to mention if she saw who stabbed her? If I get my hands on the dirty commie... (I'd like a word with the mayor if possible.)
  21. I'd like to go to everyone and ask what their shoe size is. Can we tell if the footprints go to the door first or to the window?
  22. I'd like to thank everyone for not breakin' anythin' in my apartment. It's not much, but it's mine. Perhaps we should at least measure the footprints to see if anyone's shoes compare to it. Surely Harrison can't object to that. Is it possible to tell how long the footprints might have been there? Can we tell if the person was running, walking, or limping from the distance between the footprints?
  23. Got home with the baby a short while ago. Here are some pics. Here's the little guy Here my daughter meets him for the first time. And here's the family all together. My wife's doing really well. The doctors and nurses kept remarking that the incision looked like it was weeks old and not days old. She's still really sore but her mother is here for a few days to help me with the kids so she can rest for a while. I'll be back online later to catch up on all the stuff I've missed the last few days.
  24. Just checking in while I'm home to shower and pick up a few things. They tried turning the baby and failed. We decided the C-section was the way to go. So my son. Simon Alan Conley was born yesterday morning 11:27 EST. He's 9 pounds 4 ounces and 22 1/2 inches long. No wonder we couldn't get him to turn! Both mother and baby are doing great and we hope to bring them both home in a couple of days. His big sister came to visit already and she kept saying, "He's cute!' and "Look, baby Simon popped out of Mommy's belly!". We'll see how she is once she realizes he's gonna come home to stay with us. Gotta get going again. Thanks again to everyone for all your support. I hope to post some pics in a couple of days so stay tuned.
  25. Heroica sounds awesome. Lego + D&D = It's perfect, really. If you don't like the official expansions you can always make your own. The very best thing about the Lego games (besides them being Lego) is the inherent flexibility for creating your own rules and customizing the "board". I also can't wait to try building little mini-monsters for the microfigs to encounter. Hmmm. Now I just have to figure out a way to get it without compromising my approved budget for the year.
