Ragnarök Now Redux - Nights (Players Only)
CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
When you get a free moment, Dufa, could you explain what it that you think Helga is distracting the town from? You keep saying I had no interest in your opinion about Petr. Both your opinion and my reply to it have been quoted. I think it's clear that I was discussing it with you from that. -
Darkdragon's For Sale/Trade Thread

If you haven't mailed the stuff I forgot at BW yet, I'd like the elephant w/ hat in the first pic and a hippo if you still have one. We can add that to what I'll owe you. (And maybe a bear trap.) -

I think I speak for most of us when I say that we'd love the scum names served on a platter along with their heads. Your analysis lacked commitment. You said that any group could contain scum. I don't see how that alone helps us. It's vague, like a fortune teller's prediction. Why do you think that group is more likely to contain a scum? Which members of said group do you think are more likely based on their other words and actions? That wasn't the first time he's agreed with me, the timing seemed off to me. Has Jarni had an original thought? -
Unless there's a rumor of Power Rangers becoming a theme, it belongs in the dream topic not here, please.

I've put a lot of thought into it, Dufa. I'm sorry that I see through you. It must be really annoying. Almost as annoying as your inaccurate summary of events. You are normally a strong force for town when you're loyal. And you're not one this time. I've had a lot of interaction with you so far and I can see it. -

I'm not saying that the logic isn't there to believe the same things I do, it just seems like you're copying the things I do. I find it strange. -

Why, so you could also appear helpful? Gofraid, I'm not sure what you're trying to do there. It is very detailed information you've compiled but your actually analysis results in nothing. Scum could be anyone is what you're saying, right? -

To answer Wary's question, why did I vote for Dufa? I've become pretty certain that Dufa is scum. I'm not entirely sure of the relationship he might have with Naemr, the leading candidate from yesterday. He could have been protecting a fellow scum and then gave up or he could have been focused on bringing a different townie down instead and then figured that any townie lynch would be good enough. My main interest in what Naemr said wasn't whether a team would have stopped him from saying something stupid but why Dufa thought about it the way he did. Does that answer you? -
Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm as disappointed as the rest of you in the lack of variation of the heroes, but one thing the Marvel side has over DC in this wave are the villains. We get 6 villains (7 if you count the Hydra soldier!) and only two are new versions of already made characters. And both of those are fairly expensive to get nowdays (I don't count USM Ock, I think most of us agree that he wasn't great.) I actually really like the Cap set. That's the sort of thing I wanted last wave instead of the weird Chitauri glider thing. A tank I can modify. And Red Skull is so much better than a Chitauri "general". I can see my son begging to play with the tank. The Bank Truck is also loaded with playability there. And even though I bought one of the old Ock figs, I can't pass up this one. It would have been so easy to change Spidey's suit, so I do wish TLG had done that. No new molds or anything. Even just printing the current design on a dark blue would have been fine by me. And I'll have to get the Lab, too, with that selection of characters. It doesn't look like much but it should fill out the Juniors Batcave nicely.- 9,756 replies

Non-physical Lego Characters In Physical?
CorneliusMurdock replied to Dorayaki's topic in LEGO Licensed
Staff will move or merge threads when appropriate. I'm still making up my mind about this one. It is a very wide open subject that spans the content of many of our subforums. My advice is to let the topic live as it is and not get bogged down in what the topic should be. -
Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Two
CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Here's how Dufa wants you to think the writeboard would be like: Scum 1: I'm going to open with "Oh, no! Loki's evil and we should kill all the scum!" is that okay to post guys? Scum 2: I approve but you should wait for the others to voice their opinions before posting it. Scum 1: You're absolutely right. Let's wait all day for any time zone differences to allow them to see this marvelous post of mine. I know, reductio ad absurdem. But Naemr had what to a relatively inexperienced person might consider a post that seemed to be helpful. Sure, a team might have nixed it, but a team works in real time. I don't see how this is any more likely than the argument that Sigrid would be told by a team to post more, a behavior that happened over the course of a full (in game) day and night along with most of another day. A scum team would have plenty of time to contact a lazy player about the behavior. We know she posted in that time frame, so she would have seen it. And now after all this insistence, Dufa says that "A townie never gives up" is good enough to vote for Naemr. That pushes me over about you. Backpedaling already, are we? I'm just confused now and not scummy. In this whole post you never once called me scummy. Just implied I was stupid. This is not what I'd expect of you. -

CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
You and Snotra really want to paint a picture of me rallying a vote against Petr. I voted for him, stated my reasons why I thought his was the better lynch. There's nothing nefarious about it. You have to make it sound that way so you can link me to Sigrid and justify your attitude toward me. At this point I think you're trying subtly convince the Vigilante to kill me because when Sigrid is revealed as town tomorrow, your argument evaporates. As I mentioned in my private conversation with you, it seems odd that you insist that Naemr would run every statement he makes past a scum team, yet you think a team would have no influence to get Sigrid to be active at all. I've been on scum teams before. Never have I been on one where I've had to have all my posts approved, especially at the beginning when we all assume it's a fluff factory out there. Maybe Naemr thought he was gong to appear useful. He's fairly new to Valhalla. Now this I don't understand from you. Townies give up all the freakin' time. They shouldn't but they do. You pressed so much for Naemr's innocence despite the argument for it somewhat contradicting your own for Sigrid. Cutting losses now in case he gets vig killed? Maybe he should have had you approve all of his posts on the writeboard. Vote: Dufa (def) Your behavior has not seemed like your townie self all game, in private or public. I've noticed that. But this right here makes me pretty sure that your intentions are not honorable. -

Following your logic, how would the scum team have any more power to stop Naemr from being stupid than they would of Sigrid being quiet? -

CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I guess that will answer the question of Sigrid. Helga has a point about lynching now that we're assured a mod kill. With the possiblity of three kills a night, we're going to drop like flies if we're not careful. I'm still unsure of Wilhalm. But I can give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Unvote: Wilhalm (WhiteFang) -

You probably don't get what teamwork is all about but most scum players would want to work together to win. As for working for them, they wouldn't have wanted Sigrid in the spotlight to begin with, so no. Could be today or tomorrow, but Sigrid's time will run out. As far as I know, Sigird is always lazy quiet, scum or not. But I think a team would prod her to be more proactive even if she didn't want to be. I plan on going back and doing some more research into specific instances (someone mentioned to me a specific time I'd like to look at more closely) when I get some time tonight, but I'm pretty sure I remember correctly. -

CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
If I were scum and were on Sigrid's team, I'd be mad as hell at him right now. It wouldn't have taken much the first day to get most of you off of his back. Just a little participation. The scum would not draw attention to themselves by purposely not talking. And if the scum team wasn't able to get through to Sigrid to get her to participate, they certainly wouldn't put their own butts on the line to save a useless lump. They'd cut losses and then complain to Odin about putting her on their team in the first place. I think that if she were scum, she might have been replaced by now. Or at the very least coached to talk by her team mates. Wilhalm- I love that you participated. And you have been much better about that recently. But when you're town you at least have something to say even if most people don't seem to notice. You don't seem like townie you right now. I know that's metagame-y and everything but that's what I think. -

And you're a terrific judge of character. You're absolutely wrong about me and you've convinced yourself so well that everything I do is scummy in your eyes. The only thing that would convince you at this point is my death. Even then, you'll shrug it off like you have in the past and move on to badgering someone else, all the while not losing that smug confidence of yours. I'm not asking for anyone to follow me in this. I know Wilhalm. A lot of people dismiss him unjustly. When he's on my side, he's an asset to me (whereas Snotra is just an megablocks to me{HA!}). But from what I can see of him so far, I really don't think he is on our side. And I realize that I'm shooting myself in the foot if Sigird turns up scum, but I think his lynch would be better for us than hers. The rest of the town has to do what they feel is right as well. If they think Sigrid's lynch is better, that's okay. I'm not convinced that she's scum just because she's not participating (though the more that she doesn't speak at all, that opinion may change {You want to continue to be able to play these situations, right Sigrid? If you truly are the lazy bum I think you're being it won't be hard to convince others that you're not worthy of being chosen for them}). I am pretty sure of Wilhalm, though. -

I will say, though, that Sigrid should speak up today. If we can get such an illumaniting view of Wilhalm with a little activity, we should be able to get something from her today if she puts in a little effort. I'm of the opinion that if someone can't bother to participate in the slightest, Odin might as well strike them down now. Then they can spend all eternity having no fun ever again since they spoil ours. I think it will tell us that he's scum, Snotra. I've known Wilhalm a while, I don't think he's loyal this time around. -
Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Two
CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
While I appreciate the fact that a Sigrid lynch has the potential to clear my name, I find Wilhalm more suspicious right now than Sigrid. His statement can essentially be reduced to saying nothing. Some called for him to be more active and this seems like he's trying to appear that way. I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt yesterday but he jus doesn't seem like his loyal self in that statement. So while lynching Sigrid might clear me, I have to think of us as a whole first. And since I think it is much more likely to get us a scum I will: Vote: Wilhalm Bloodaxe (WhiteFang) -

Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Two
CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Either is possible. Although if I were scum, I would've wanted a "no lynch" yesterday over a townie lynch. Sure a townie lynch would give them one less townie to kill off but it also got rid of someone that would have provided en excellent distraction today. Now the Petr is dead, he's confirmed. Scum would now have to find someone else to take the lynch bullet or hope that an overeager townie does that for them. Speaking of which: I said I didn't lobby for his lynch. If people wanted to agree with me and vote, so be it. Again you either don't see the distinction or choose not to. Your game is normally the same whether you're scum or town. You're aggressive and you feel entitled to know everything anybody else knows. I don't have a good read for what side you're on but if you're with us, you're not being productive today. -

I don't get it. Why change the font? I guess I'm comical to you? If other people agree with me, I can't help it. I never said "everyone change your vote to Petr!" I just stated my opinion. You can't see the difference? Townies state opinions. You posting quotes from other people about it doesn't prove anything. -
Ragnarök Now Redux - Day Two
CorneliusMurdock replied to MagPiesRUs's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
If other people agreed with my view, and they did because there were enough votes at the end, It wasn't from any campaigning I did. I talked to two people in PM. All I did was state my opinion and they gave me theirs. I didn't think there would be anything to learn from Sigrid's lynch. She was being voted for because of her lack of participation and then her refusal to do anything after being called on it. Petr was squirming all day long and acting very strange. I voted for him and made my opinion of the situation clear. I'm not sure Sigrid is town. I believe her behavior more closely matches a lazy townie than scum especially based on past performance, but I have no way of knowing with absolute certainty. I never implied that I did. I still feel that she is probably a lazy townie. My statement about acceptance was that if I were to be lynched, I'm not going to be upset about it. I'm trying my best to avoid such a thing since I know it won't get us a scum, but if the rest of you feel that my death will allow us to overcome Loki's minions in the end ( and who knows maybe the voting patterns or whatnot will eventually), I'm fine with it. Greater good and all that.
