  1. Thanks. You can't explore Space on an empty stomach.
  2. If you've been busy, you've been busy. Some people just need to learn some patience.
  3. I've been done. I think they're checking it for color errors. It'll be your turn soon enough.
  4. Since nothing seems to have changed, I have to go with the information we have and hope for the best. Vote: Amy Spalkowa (iamded)
  5. Like Fuchsia, I too worry about making a mistake convicting the wrong person today. Today's vote is absolutely crucial. But Amy doesn't seem to be giving us anything but more doubts. Amy, being stealthy isn't helping your case. If I saw you looking over notes while I was doing the same I'd probably believe your innocence more not less. If nothing changes in a few hours I will be voting for you. Now's your chance to put up a logical defense.
  6. Superb entries by all. It was hard to choose my favorites (and not just because it took so long to find the time to read them all). 3 Points - Duke's "Barbossa's Ballad" - Nicely done. The imagery and just general quality is why this was my top choice. Doesn't hurt that it rhymes. 2 Points - SilvaShado's "Pirate Plank" - I loved the thought of the pirates all playing the game. Well written, too. 2 Points - greg3's "The Veteran" - Your veteran Redcoat was such a very detailed and sympathetic character. That's an incredible accomplishment in 300 words. 1 Point - Alaina Cillis "No Match" - I had to give you a point for the most accurate description of Jack Sparrow in this contest.
  7. Yes, but already three of us still living took it to mean that you were role-claiming. Even if it wasn't your intention, why aren't you dead? Isn't it likely that one of the scum would think you were role-claiming and thus want you disposed of? Thanks for being so specific. I've been willing to hear you out. I'm by no means sure of this. We've been led on a couple of wild goose chases so far and I'm just looking to catch a megablocking goose. Because otherwise we're all getting cooked. You're just looking rather goose-like right now.
  8. I think the scum starting off with just two would be too few and four would be too many. And the possibility of conversion is there but I find it unlikely that they can especially on nights they've killed. I agree that there must be two left which is why today's vote is so crucial. As to whom they might be, Amy is clearly a candidate for one of the spots. The more I think about her behavior now the more I feel like voting for her. I would like to hear her story about the whole "trust" thing. For the other one, it does seem harder. No other family member really stands out to me right now. But really we can only vote off one person a day so while we should keep our eyes and ears open, there's not much we could do today if we are going o vote out Amy.
  9. That does make more sense to me. You always do posit the best theories. Amy seems to creep upwards on my suspect list. If so many of us took her "trust" in you to be a role-claim, how is she still alive? Surely the scum would have thought so too and it would be in their best interest to kill the investigator. Perhaps she hoped her role-claiming would draw the real investigator out and make it easier for her scum team to kill them.
  10. It's not just your vote for Amy but you also cast the final vote for Dragana. (Not that I wouldn't have done the same. She really didn't help herself or us yesterday.) Anyway, I'm not tremendously suspicious of you, I just thought it was worth noting.
  11. One of the things Dragana said yesterday in her only real attempt to contribute was that we should not rule out anyone based on the voting for Irena. So I'll put my impressions here of everyone. Fuchsia- She's seemed town to me., being helpful and logical in her arguments. Of course, this could be an act by a very clever scum. Cornelia- I know I'm Loyal so I'll just respond to Dragana's final comments about me. She said: I don't think I've been playing off of anyone so much as as voicing my opinions whether they agree with another person's opinions or not. As for not leading the vote, I think that has more to do with me waiting for the accused to reply to the accusations before placing a vote. If you look back you can see that I normally say who I will probably vote for, ask that person to speak up against my reasons and then go off to think. Before I come back, someone has always started the vote without me. If that seems suspicious, so be it. I am a townie and only wish to give fellow townies the benefit of the doubt before convicting them. I wish Dragana had a less flippant response when I gave her the opportunity. Every time we convict a townie, we're closer to defeat. If she had given a more convincing argument, maybe she'd still be alive right now. Richelle- Quiet and hasn't helped a lot so far. I'm sure she's high on the suspect list for others as well. Rupert- Logical in his arguments also but there's something that makes me uneasy in his voting pattern. This boy can be deviously clever. Amy- A little snot rag. After being quiet early on she's tried harder be a contributing family member. Not sure if she's just putting on an act to avoid suspicion. Petra- My little angel. I don't know. She's been an enigma to me. Could go either way right now. Tammo- He has tried to contribute as well. I have no reason to suspect him. It's possible that he's scum but unlikely. I thought the that after reflecting on it a while but she hasn't come forward with any investigative info that could help us. But if she were the investigator and the scum assumed the same thing about her "trust" statement, she would be long dead. I think today makes or breaks us. If we don't get scum today we're screwed. I'm inclined to believe that we lost our investigator early on. Probably also any protector we might have had (Although they might have been protecting the wrong person every night. It hasn't been cut and dry about who the next target will be.) All we have to go on is our discussions and that's frustrating.
  12. Well, megablocks. I wish Dragana would have stopped going on about pies and actually shown us that she was trying to help. I really thought we were on to another scum especially with some of her responses yesterday. And to lose Daniel too... We have to focus today, family. We must catch a scum by nightfall or it might be too late.
  13. Amazing! There's so much to love about the whole display. The larger castle is certainly impressive with so much detailing and the round tower is perfect. The smaller castle is just as lovable with its unusual but effective color scheme. And the fact that it's ruined gives the display depth along with a sense of history. And let's not forget the mountainous terrain. From the farther shots it looks so smooth and detailed that I didn't think it was Lego until the close-ups. I thought it was sculptured clay.
  14. Aw man. I was holding out for Squirrel Girl. Now I'm not so sure I'll buy any of the sets. Seriously, though, Squirrel Girl kicked Doctor Doom's sorry butt once so she deserves a minifig. If the license lasts a few years maybe they can sneak her in a set.
  15. (Marvel+DC)+Lego= Me with no money. Really, that's not all that different than the way I am now. Maybe I'm not doing the math right since I'm not allowing for negative numbers... Maybe it should be (Marvel+DC)+Lego=Me living in a hole of debt. Or a cardboard box. Hey, maybe one of the sets will come in a box big enough.
  16. I've thought about it and Dragana just strikes me as more suspicious for all the reasons I've stated before. I will Vote: Dragana (Dragonator). If something else comes up, I'm willing to listen but this feels right to me right now.
  17. File received and downloaded. I'm currently looking through it and trying to decide what to add.
  18. This doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I know I even said that Dragana acting exactly like Irena seems odd for scum behavior, but Richelle hasn't been acting so differently either. I also don't know what to make of Richelle's sudden spurring to action. Is she a townie trying to get herself out of a hole or scum trying to point the finger elsewhere to save her scummy hide? I'm still more inclined to vote for Dragana. I will ponder this a while and come back to vote soon.
  19. Quick everyone stop buying directly from Lego! They're trying to be helpful and nice! The only thing that might ever be wrong with a company that has such tremendous customer service is that we the consumer pays for that service. Not directly but with every set we buy. I personally don't have a problem with this. It means there are actual people being employed and being able to support their economies with their income rather than paying slightly less and going through countless automated response machines.
  20. Not too long ago I saw someone trying to sell one of those little checklists/"instructions" that come with the collectible minifigs. They wanted five dollars for a little piece of paper that comes free with any of the minifigs. Seriously? I normally keep one from each series and toss the rest unless I'm planning on trading the minifig it came with. Obviously anyone who would buy it has no idea what it actually is and the seller is counting on that.
  21. I agree Fuchsia. Not even being open to the possibility that conversion exists is ridiculous. But if Amy has been converted, it happened on a night when there was a murder ( ) and that would be tremendously unbalanced. Amy could just be a little overzealous in her paranoia. We should continue to be vigilant in regards to her but I think the focus right now should be Dragana. Nothing she has said dispels any of the doubts I have in her. What does everyone else think?
  22. This is maddening. Of the two suspects we have looked at so far today neither has been truly helpful. Dragana- I'm inclined to place my vote for her but the only thing stopping me at this point is the fact that she's basically cloned the behavior of Irena. Would two scum try the exact same tactic? Surely they would try to appear helpful, right? Instead she wastes time with senseless banter and says nothing of substance. But you did seem to support the lynching of Amy when the alternative was Irena, a scum. Richelle- She responds to us at least but keeps reiterating that she has nothing to say. You have to have some opinions by now. If you're hoping to slip by unnoticed, it's too late. And in a game when there are so few of us and we cannot contact each other privately it's even more important that you speak up in thread. Otherwise what's our incentive for keeping a suspicious person around? And the other two that did not vote for Irena: Rupert- Seems helpful enough. Spoke somewhat infrequently at times but his statements have had substance. Your voting yesterday is what has me worried; jumping on with a vote for Amy when she and Irena seemed close in votes. It could have easily been swung onto Amy instead of Irena yesterday and your vote could have been a deciding factor. Tammo- Your participation has also been pretty good as far as voicing actual opinions and you seem to genuinely be looking for scum. It is again the vote that worries me. Looking back your reasoning seems sound but a good scum would try to make it appear that way. As far as those who voted for Irena, I think there would be very little to gain from skewering a fellow scum in a vote like yesterday. With as little evidence as we have it would be all to easy to shift your vote to a non-scum in such a close vote and still seem reasonable doing so. Irena wasn't so suspected by all that the scum would throw her to us hoping for a slight advantage when just her being alive was helping their numbers. Let's not forget that they need to outnumber us to win and there can't be that many of them for them not already to do so. I'm certainly not putting them above suspicion but I think starting a vote against one of them today would be pointless. None really stand out as suspicious to me anyway right now. Looks like you woke up in the middle of me gathering my thoughts. If you could elaborate on this. How should we have responded? Which ideas of Fuchsia's have confused you?
  23. That's a valid point, Fuchsia. But if they are able to convert as well as kill the same night we won't last very long. There are so few of us anyway that such an occurrence would seem unlikely and unfair to us. If they can somehow convert, I highly doubt they can do it a night that they've killed or that they could do it unlimitedly. Dragana and Richelle should take this time to tell us why we shouldn't vote for them. I'd recommend they do it sooner rather than later.
  24. My darling Jacob! I shall never get over this... but you shall be avenged! Even with such a hard loss it is at least satisfying that we rooted out on the scum. I agree with Fuchsia that the four that did not vote are the most suspicious to me with Dragana and Richelle at the top of the list. I don't know that we should neccesarily rule out those that did vote but I am much more likely to trust them right now.
  25. Wow. Just got the time to read through the the writeboard. Awesomely hilarious, def! As has been said the sad thing is that it won't work again here. I'm sure there were many of us watching from the sidelines wishing to play your next mystery. Of course now you have us all waiting impatiently for the next Bloodbricks instead.
