This wasn't in reference to an accent. And Eugene, drugs may be a part of what you are but they shouldn't be a part you're proud of. Drug abuse is a serious problem. And heroin is a known gateway drug to scumminess. Just consult any medical journal.

Yes, I admit that it might just be roleplaying but it's the only suspicion I have. I'm far from saying we should get pitchforks ready for him. I just thought it was worth discussing.
-
Talking about what scum might do to someone who role claims seems somewhat pointless until the situation comes up. I'm not sure that anyone has really done anything to warrant trust yet. Talking like a townie would be easy to fake and I have no doubt there are those among us who would do it expertly. As for suspicion, I think Eugene (Eskallon) seems suspicious only because he mentioned a drug habit. I think the mob would prey on the weak and exploit substance abuse to get what they want from someone. This is only a feeling, though. No one else has really set off any alarms for me.

So your best case for not voting is a vanilla townie dies? Besides making to many assumptions about god's intentions, it sounds like a stupid thing to do anyway. If we vote we have the chance of voting off a scum. If we don't, the BEST case (full of holes) is that we'll lose a loyal member without a night action. Your third choiice of everyone voting without convicting would require an amount of teamwork that would be impossible at this stage. There's not enough trust built up. Besides the scum won't be sitting on their hands. They WILL convert or kill one of us tonight. We can't status this quo. I say we vote. It's the only chance we have. We should make a careful decision about the person we should vote off to improve our chances but we should vote.

You know who god is, right? Not to get evangelical or anything, the almighty is wise but prone to fits of wackiness. I don't think any of us can be sure what god will or won't do. Regardless of any potential penalty, the choice is really do we sit on our butts and do nothing or become proactive in routing out the scum. If we do nothing and the night yields no more information than we already have, what do we do tomorrow?
-
Sounds like someone could be easily manipulated by the mob... Is there a vice you don't have? I think we, the town, should keep an eye on you.

This is going to suck, indeed. Somehow I don't think a free buffet is going to be any consolation but I think we all appreciate the effort, guys. There's not much to say at this point. Hopefully the scum will be the first to make a mistake.

Pirates of the Caribbean Contest Winners
CorneliusMurdock replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Congrats to all the winners! They were all excellent and very deserving of the wins. -
What did Data do this time?
-
Great little contest. I was going to enter but couldn't for the life of me do anything with these parts. All the entries were really well done and amazingly different from each other. 03 - George G. - bee hovering a flower - 2 Points - The bee is really well designed and instantly recognizable. 07 - prateek - Ducky Battle Mech - 3 Points - Hilarious. It's the love-child of an AT-ST and a duck. 17 - riversarl - Kangaroo - 1 Points - A fun little animal build.
-
Tremendously awesome! Looks professional.
-
That's great! About time someone stood up for the rights of the world's working gnomes.
-
Nice! Where's that guy going with the gnome?
-
Could have been a cute idea but the execution sorta sucks.

I would think it's just another locked door. I've been playing that as long as you have the key in your possession, you unlock the door as you pass through it. Stopping and unlocking gives players behind you an advantage since they wouldn't have to stop. And then what's the incentive in being the one to take the time to get the key if all the other guys have to do is sit and wait for you to unlock it? The "race to the end" is still the thing that feels wrong to me as far as gameplay. It may work for Candyland but I think it just goes against the dungeon-crawl game type. But it's easily fixed with home rules so I can't really complain. I think you're going to saturate the Heroica economy and cause rampant inflation. Poor little microfigs will wait in lines all day to pay outrageous prices for little loaves of bread... Wait... I mean, um, it sounds like it may make the thief a little overpowered if you give him the extra gold every time he defeats an enemy. I would stick with doing it only when he rolls a shield. Of course the only thing you really do with money in the base rules is buy weapons so it's not exactly a game breaker.

Hooray! Sign up time's early! I would love to play, Hinck. 1. I've been in Bloodbrick, the Forest, and Belleville mafias. 2. I should have nothing to interfere with participation. 3. There is no "portal" connecting EB and any Writeboards. 4. I'll assume you mean in real life, although my gameplay in Belleville was somewhat embarrassing, voting out too many innocent people. Let's see. There was a Thanksgiving with my in-laws a few years ago. So friday morning after eating too much stuffing, I was laying on their bathroom floor in intense pain. After a few hours of this my father-in-law drove me to the hospital. Turns out celery now makes me so gassy it feels like my intestines are going to explode. The gave me stuff to numb my intestines and gave me a large dose of anti-gas stuff. Of course this gave me intense diarrhea the rest of the Thanksgiving visit. So fun all around. That embarrassing enough?

Very nice solution. I'll have to try this when I get the chance.

You should have known better, Foog. Don't you know that staring at the Portal will make you go blind? Kids these days. Shelling cheese on the other hand is a wholesome activity. The Amish do it all the time. They shell cheese from scratch. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Series 6 looks kick-butt so far! There's not a single one of those I don't like. Finally, now I can do a Lucky Charms MOC. So many new and exciting accessories. I don't even mind the skater girl and of all of the ones shown so far that had the most potential to suck. But they rocked it, too. And that butcher will look awesome as a soda jerk in a 50s diner. -
Belville Mafia: Conclusion
CorneliusMurdock replied to Quarryman's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Some of us watching from the sidelines wished this was possible, too. It's probably a good thing that we don't know where you live, CT. It was a great effort, Foog. If I'd been around, you'd have convinced me. Congrats to Rufus and Ricecracker. Well played. Great job looking helpful while actually distracting us from scum, Rufus. -
LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
CorneliusMurdock replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd rather it be battle packs than the collectible minifig route. Mostly because they're not likely to stop the current minifig line and I don't want to be searching for two different lines of minifig packs at the same time. -

Pirates of the Caribbean Contest - MOC Forum Division Voting
CorneliusMurdock replied to Mister Phes's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great entries! 2 points - sok117's Isla De La Muerta - Great rock formations and I love all the treasure. C3PO! 2 points - Matn's Tia Dalma's Shack - The greenery looks alive. Just a superb entry. 2 points - Cecilie The Fountain of Youth - You've certainly captured the spooky feel of some lost relic. Plus the fountain sort of looks like the Guardian of Forever. 2 points - hammelgeier's Attack of the Kraken - Wow. Really well done!
