  1. Seconded. Though Mr. Bean's mini and Chitty come pretty damn close.
  2. Personally I prefer not to use blind drivers and articulate my wheelbases instead. Though the cosmetic difference is ultimately not terribly significant, the use of more smaller bogies tends to let the locomotive run smoother, subsequently reducing wear on motors and other moving parts. Just personal preference, though; I know most people probably prefer their solid bases.
  3. Mine was an off-road racing game I bought in the late 90's... Off-Road Extreme or something like that. Hell it was so forgettable, I've forgotten the name.
  4. My top three so far: 10183 UTB 10182 Cafe Corner 10179 Falcon I'd really want multiple copies of 10183 and 10182, but the Falcon is already like thermite to my wallet...
  5. So after reading the 10182 review I'm curious about the box of this set: Is it like all of our contemporary destroy-to-open boxes or does it have some sort of tab system like the 10182 box?
  6. Very nice review! This set is second on my "To Buy" list after the 10183 UTB.
  7. Do trains count as a city theme yet? If so they're definitely my favorite. Second would probably construction...
  8. Gah, I just ordered one from Shop at Home yesterday. Now I'm doubly psyched! How many people were actually chosen to get these pre-release versions of the set?
  9. I just preordered (Two days before the ship date!) a copy of 10183! I can't wait to get my hands on that thing...
  10. Wow, I'm impressed with the turnaround time between this and the last issue. Keep up the good work!
  11. Dang... a ten year project! And I thought those guys doing 1-2 year projects were taking a long time... I can barely work on a MoC for 10 days!
  12. ... the best type of town there is XD. This is indeed very impressive; does anyone have any info on the builder?
  13. Tintin was one of my childhood heros! I've got all of Herge's original twenty something - maybe thirty something - Tintin books. Unfortunately they're not in terribly good condition, having been manhandled by me as a seven year old.
  14. I love how this set includes that cute little handcar... a minor detail, but it totally makes the set for me.
  15. I've just paid my $10... but holy cow is Paypal slow today.
  16. Holy cow... despite that both are computer generated, someone out there has too much free time...
  17. I'm assuming through Paypal as the OP mentioned a Paypal fee somewhere down the line...?
  18. I'll buy one ticket as well!
  19. Cute. Reminds of the guy who re-built the Blue Hopper Car in clear...
  20. Or spread out several motors along the length of a train; I'm sure there are ways around this, it's just not terribly "elegant" so to speak. But yeah, some test results would be interesting.
  21. That 8275 dozer is very impressive. Somehow it didn't occur to me that TLC would start integrating NXT style motors into "regular" technic models. Is the RC actual RC or just another derivative of the IR system? It looks IR to me...
  22. Well, I daresay I have mixed feelings about the RC cross track... on one hand I've been waiting for an official crosstrack for quite a while now, but on the other, it's an RC cross track which ultimately makes it useless on a 9v layout (Without modding, of course). Maybe we can pray that TLC makes a 9v version as well? But looking at the picture on the box - because the two switches on each side are controlled by a single lever, does it mean that you can't have two open switches at once?
  23. Hard to be certain since I was so young... But I think it was 715.
  24. Regardless of how long it takes, he gets props just for attempting another MOC like the Truman...
  25. Someone probably pays for the EB forum... Considering the domain isn't just "eurobricks.com", I'd guess that the domain might not necessarily be paid for, but I'm pretty sure that someone out there has to (or has had to) pay IPB for using their system on the forum itself.
